Chapter 2

Rhys POV

I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm going off. I hit the snooze button well smacked the snooze button and just lied down feeling exhausted. I was still half asleep and trying not to fall back asleep. After about 10 minutes of laying down and trying to wake myself up I got up and did my usual routine. I put on my normal black shirt, jeans and a pair of converse. My hair was put in a quiff again, I like how my hair looks I think I'll keep putting my hair like this. Finally I had put my contacts on I still keep my glasses for when I'm at home alone and in the mornings.

I walked downstairs to have breakfast but my mom was already gone, she must have had to go to work early. I ate breakfast and then walked to school. I was late by 7 minutes but that's ok at least I didn't have to put up with David and Steven before school.

The day went by as usual with me and John hanging out during lunch. I told him why I didn't go to his house yesterday and he said it was perfectly fine. We planned to hang out at my house later and he said he would sleep over if my mom was ok with it.

The day finished and I walked home since my mom would be getting out of work late today. I changed into my basketball shorts and just kept my

T-shirt on. I took my contacts out since they were bugging me and put my glasses on, I'll put my contacts on when John comes because i still don't want him to know I wear glasses. I know I should have told him and it's not that big of a deal but i feel insecure about my glasses, considering I was teased about wearing them at school.

I didn't have homework today so I just laid down on the couch and watched re-runs of spongebob on Nickelodeon.John had called me when he was about 5 minutes away so I had put my contacts back on and turned the tv off just when I had put the remote down I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and John greeted me with a hug.

"Hey babe"

"Hey" I said hugging him back

"Can I come in?"

"Of course come on in" he walked in and sat on the couch while I closed the door and locked it. We went up to my room and just cuddled and talked and watched 2 movies before my mom came home.

"Rhys! I'm home!" I heard her yell from downstairs. John and I walked downstairs and she was waiting in the kitchen putting groceries away.

"Oh hey! hi John" she said to the both of us smiling. "can you guys go and get the rest of the groceries while I put these away please?"

"Of course we can" I said and we went outside.

"Do you think your mom will let me stay over tonight?"

"I don't think she'd mind but we should ask her just in case ya know"

"Alright well let's help put the groceries away and then later we'll ask her" he said closing the trunk.

We helped put the groceries away and after we asked if John could sleep over, which my mom said was perfectly fine. She doesn't have that big of a problem with us sleeping in my room together but she said the door needed to be open at all times. My mom trusts that u won't do anything but she is my mom and she still needs to make sure that I don't do that kind of "stuff"if you know what I mean. After asking her and her saying yes we went up to my room, because my she said she would make dinner tonight. I'm just a little worried that she's going to burn something or hurt herself while cooking. My mom is very clumsy.

"What do you want to watch?" I asked John while we laid down next to each other on the bed. We didn't want to cuddle together because we didn't want to risk my mom seeing. We'll cuddle at night when she falls asleep.
