"And that's where you're wrong,"
I kept on repeating the words he said. He's not Philip? He can read my mind too?
"You read my mind?" I asked him and he chuckles. An airy chuckle, like an angel's giggling and it's music to my ears.
"No! You said it out loud. You said his freaking name. And let me tell you, my name's not Philip!" he shouted and I flinched, pushing him with all my might. But my strength was not enough to throw him off. Whatever he was, I need to get away from him.
He's a psycho.
"Get away from me!" I screamed back but that just made him push his body to mine. I can feel his heart pulsing as fast as mine. He pinned my hands above my head.
"I've been kind to you. And you, you are rude to me. I even got you home after you passed out and you put a hammer on my head? I cooked you breakfast and you kicked me out!" he shouted in my face, and I smelled smoke with a mix of cigarettes and alcohol.
A weird smell.
Like a burning bark of wood.
"You want to know what I am?" he asked and I didn't answer. I just looked straight into his blue eyes which seemed to be burning.
"I am not human. I am not a magician. Don't ask if I'm a vampire because it's a no-no. The truth is... I'm an angel," He smiled at me after his short speech of revelation, and I scoffed.
"What?" He asked.
"Aren't angels supposed to be kind? You are nothing but kind, Lucas." I laughed at him and he tightens his hold on my wrists before pushing me. I leaned on the car's door.
"You, you're crazy," I said, slightly moving to open my car door. He walked towards the backdoor of the bar and I made my way inside, when he noticed, he pointed at me. I started the engine, flipping him the bird, before I drove off. I saw him shout and run after my car.
I laugh at myself. I'm crazy. I'm crazy.
I punched the steering wheel, this euphoric feeling I had was something else. I never felt this excited and happy at the same time, and here I am. On my way to Alaska.
"What are you laughing at?"
"Shit!" I stepped on the brakes and looked beside me. He's here! He's here! How could that be possible?
An apple on his hand, he kept biting it then he threw the half outside the window.
"You think you can run that easy from me?" He rested his arm on the passenger door while he looks at me, raising his brows. My heart beats fast. What am I going to do?
"Okay, what do you want with me?" I asked him, putting my hands down on my lap.
"I don't know. But you got to help me,"
"You don't know? Then, how will I help you?"
"Let's just start with you, letting M-E, me, live in your house. How 'bout that? Yeah?"
This gotta be a joke. A big joke. I pinched my hands and I flinched when I felt the sting of my nails on my skin.
"Okay," I agreed, then he gave me an evil grin.
