Nile walked around her front yard smelling whatever was blowing her way. Nile is 23 years old and she is deaf in both ears. Every night when everyone in the house is sleeping she makes her way to the lake and sit right at the edge. Such a beautiful night she says to her self. NILEEE !! IS THAT YOU she jumped her heart raced sped up as she tried to act calm while her father Terrell was walking closer to her. She turned around doing sign language. Why are you out this time of night do you not know what time it is? Her father ask in sign language. Yes I was just feeling the nice wind she replied as they head back in the house. Nile locked the door and looked at the moonlight and smiled.
Terrell made it back into the room with Frank his husband. Yes Nile father is gay he always has been he just slipped up at a party messed around and got drunk and now he here been in her life every since she was born. Her mother didn't want her no more after she found out she was deaf which was at the age two. I just can't keep up my pudding pouch Terrell said. I mean she is grown she is smart she just only deaf. You treat her like she got a real disorder Frank said to Terrell. I know baby but still I just don't want anything happening to her. It want trust me Nile said to her self standing at her dad room door overhearing the conversations. I wonder should I tell him what the moonlight sun been doing to me since I was about five years old. Should I wait. I don't know. No. Tell him. He your father. No wait.this is your magical blessings. No one should know about this. What if it goes away if I tell anyone. She debated with her mind. A part of her wanted to tell but a part of her didn't Nile thought to herself. See as you know Nile Is deaf but every night the moonlight sun comes out it opens Nile's ears to where she can hear everything around her so clear. You would have thought for a young girl who deaf and starts to hear at night time around the age five would have told they parents and would have been all excited. But Nile she was different...she was special and her gift is a talent. Nile never said a word because she have heard unpleasant things about her that people don't know she knows. Nile decided against telling her dad her magical blessing she continued to act like she been deaf forever. Hopefully she keep it that way because soon as someone finds out it all will be washed away just like it do every time the sun rise but it I will be gone for good and it will never come back.
