People forget how precious and short life is. They get entangled up by negativity making them want materialistic things in life. They forget the important simple things in life that come for free. A good example is the word "I love you." Many people speak this word, but very few use it truthfully. God has blessed us with much beauty of nature that never gets noticed. I used to love gazing up at the stars admiring how they illuminated the dark sky. Occasionally one would shoot across the sky, quickly I would make my wish. That seems so long ago, since I now lay in a hospital bed. My name is Nina and I am dying. Oh, don't be sad when I speak these words, I have lived a short but simple happy life. I have a best friend named Kai. For the last year he has been with me through all my rough times, giving me strength to battle this horrible painful sickness. Unfortunately, my time is quickly coming to an end. I have one request for making my last day the best day of my life.
I asked Kai, to play our favorite song on his cell phone so we could have one last dance together, even if I had to do it from my bed. Kai at first was angry, when I told him no more treatments that I will die here in my hospital bed. His anger then drew to sadness, as he agreed to my request. He told me that he would be right back he wanted to get me something before he played our song. I asked him to come closer to me before he left so I could kiss him on the cheek. Tears started to swell up in my eyes as my heart sadden. Part of me wanted to blurr out the words "I love you forever," but I knew that we could never marry and have a happy life together. So, I sat there not saying the words as he left the room. I wrote it in my journal knowing he would read it once I had died.
Kai quickly returned holding something behind his back, as he approached my bed. He leaned in and kissed my head, as he pulled the red roses from behind his back. I smiled at him and told him thank you for remembering my favorite flower. He laughed and told me, that he would have caught a star if he was able to. He turned our song on his phone and reached under my arms and lifted me from the bed. I laid my head on his chest as we slowly danced together. He kissed me on my cheek and said, "You're more beautiful than any rose." I felt my legs start to weaken and the music fade followed by a sharp pain.
"This is for you my Princess, whom I also loved with all my heart forever." Laying the red roses on my grave.
