Invitation

Sitara's pov

As usual I was getting ready for my college but with little extra effort, because I am the secretary of college union and today I have to accompany our college principal for inviting a business man for our college annual day which is to be held next week.

Our college follows very strict rules like dress code, prohibiting mobile inside campus, etc. Our dress code will be funny when outsiders hear that. Nothing serious, PG students are only allowed to wear saree and UG students are allowed to wear both saree and half saree (similar to lehenga).

So I am wearing a dark blue saree with silver thread work with its attached blouse. I washed my hair and made it to a ponytail. As I took my white stone bindi which will be apt for my saree, I heard my mom calling

Situ......

"yeah ma just a min'' I told

I went downstairs

My ma" first u eat, then you do your work, or else you will go without eating"

I sat in dinning table, my mom served my favourite breakfast.

I was eating it meanwhile my pa took my white activa out of the shed and kept it ready. After eating

"Ma bye, evening I will be coming late" , I told

"Ok take care Situ, bye " mom said

I took my bag and went out.

"Bye pa" I told

"Be careful, put your helmet, bye " my pa told me.

I started to college in my activa.

In college,

My friends were waiting in the two wheelers stand. And one important thing our college is not co-ed😁😁

My best friend Srinisha has blue zest, so always we will park our vehicles together.

Our gang consists of 6 girls - Vishaka, Nikitha, Lakshana, Krithya and we two.

Srinisha is our department secretary whereas I am students secretary on the whole.

So most of the times she accompanies me . But today its different. She has been assigned with cultural programs so she will not be coming with me.
I told her to take care and she went to practice hall and I went to The Principal's room.

There I greeted her and she told to take the invitation of our college day. I took 4 cards along with the program list and timings allowed for each program as it's necessary for inviting busy people.

In The office of Sharma Industries.

Usually our college won't invite business people or other celebrities for our functions. This is the first time and the reason, they helped our college students in internship and most importantly they awarded our students who presented paper in seminars with ₹. 5000 each for 50 students. It is to be distributed in the celebration, so we r inviting the company's managing director Mr. Prakash Sharma.

We were waiting in his office, as soon as he entered Our principal greeted him first then Mathematics department HOD then One senior professor and last but not the least I greeted him.

He gave a warm smile to all of us. Our principal explained him about our college day and told him to come along with his family. He told us that he will definitely bring his wife with him as she was our college alumini.

Here comes my duty as secretary I gave him invitation along with sweets and program schedule. I noticed that he was in his mid- fifties, normal height and light greyish hair mixed with black. He took invitation with sweets and smiled at me. I returned a smile to him and told him, " Sir, Please come to our college day, I am inviting you on behalf of students".

He replied," I will come, what's your name??"

I told, "Sir, I am Sitara, First year Mba"

He replied, " Oh good, r u interested in business???"

I told, " yes sir, that's why I took Mba "

He smiled and told, " I am offering you a special internship under me, so you can come over to my company and can gain knowledge".

I told, "Thank you so much sir. I feel so happy. It's my luck to have special internship in your company sir"

After that we all thanked him and left for our college.
