80% of the human population has powers. Every year, fourteen people that posses powers are picked to compete in the maze festival where we they have to go through a maze together with a serious of tasks to complete.
Here's how the Festival works. Kids ages 15-19 get to have a chance to win fame. Every time they complete a task they move forward in the maze until they get to the middle, or the end, where there is a race between the survivors to get to the prize, a gold flag. Simple, yet risky. Why do they do this? To get rid of the population of people with powers.
The 14 contestants are chosen at the picking ceremony were there names are picked out. Kids have One day to train before they are all placed in the maze.
