As the cyclops advanced on them slowly, Grover and Bianca tried desperately to open the cafeteria door.
"It will never open, you foolish little so-called heroes. This kind of magic, none of you can defeat," the cyclops said.
"Sorry, but you have magic?" Percy asked, confused. He wasn't trying to be disrespectful, he just never expected a cyclops to have magic.
"Percy," Bianca hissed quietly at him, "now is probably not a good time to be super polite."
The cyclopes' booming laugh rattled the walls, making Grover start to hyperventilate from the tension. "No, no. Not my magic, of course. It is Medea's magic."
"Medea?" Percy asked, sucking in a short breath of air. "But she died! How could she be here?"
"The Titan of Time allowed her back in to the mortal world. After all, he is the holder of time. He can reverse and fast forward it, or bring anyone he wants back, even from the dead."
"And you just happen to serve him, right?" Grover squeaked. Percy remembered his dad telling him how immortals, monsters, demigods, and a lot of other creatures were choosing sides for the upcoming war: gods versus titans.
The cyclops let out another malicious cackle. "Yes. Who wouldn't want to be on the winning side of the war?"
"The Gods, and all who serve them! We will win, no matter what. We must!" Percy said, trying to raise his soft voice. He looked like he could murder the cyclops, and that is what he did. He slung off his bow and shot a well-aimed arrow at the tall, one-eyed beast, all in a matter of a few milliseconds. The arrow hit the cyclops in his shoulder, a mere few centimeters above his heart. Percy then sprinted at the monster, closing the gap between them. He swung his sword out, aiming for the monster's legs, but the cyclops managed to jump backward.
"Gaaaaahhhhhhhh!" The beast screamed, when he pulled Percy's arrow out of his shoulder. "You will die, Perseus Jackson, a slow and painful death for this!" He said, waving the arrow around.
"The only person that will be dying here is you, monster!" Percy fumed.
"Oh, feisty," the cyclops retorted.
A weak voice came from back in the shadowed part of the cafeteria. "You shouldn't have said that, you stupid oaf. Percy is sure to destroy you, now."
"Thalia?" Grover gasped. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, just got tied up and I knocked out by that oaf. Annabeth and Hercules are here, but both are still unconscious."
"Hercules?" Nico whispered to Grover in wonder. "The real Hercules?"
"Ugh. Nico, he is nowhere as close to being a hero as Hercules was," Grover answered, scrunching his nose in disgust. Nico's question had momentarily snapped him out of his skittish mood.
Meanwhile, Percy was fighting the Cyclops. He could have killed him a hundred times already, but something made him hesitant to kill this cyclops. Yes, the cyclops did try to kill him and his friends, but the cyclops could be harmless if it were taught the proper way to behave. Percy dashed away from the cyclops' swinging fist, and fell onto the ground into a slide, right toward the monster. His spear appeared in his hand, and Percy stabbed the cyclops right in his stomach as he bent down to try and grab him. Percy sadly had no choice-- he had to kill him or be eaten along with his friends. The cyclops roared, then exploded into millions of pieces of monster dust that rained down all over Percy, making him sneeze before he got up.
"We--ACHOO! Sorry. We have to find Thalia, Annabeth, and Hercules right now." Percy said, then pointed to the shadowed part of the cafeteria. "We heard Thalia from over there, so the other two should be there too."
"Yep, still here, idiots. Now you better untie me quick, or my hands will fall off!" Thalia complained, obviously over exaggerating.
Percy sighed with relief. "Coming, Thalia!" he answered her.

Question of the chapter: How do you pronounce Thalia? I say Thal-ea-uh, instead of Tal-ea-ah.
