It's been a week since Caleb passed and mommy and daddy are taking us to his funeral today they wanted to wait a little until they chose the date I go in my closet and find the same black dress I wore at David and my uncle Jim's funeral this dress haunted me not matter how far back I pushed it into my closet it always found a way to come back a slip the dress on and put by hair in a messy bun I didn't care how bad I looked

I go downstairs and see my parents getting ready to go into the car Hayley was sitting at the table eating oatmeal even though we all knew she hated it mom and dad have been so busy lately 🙄🙄 I go to the freezer and heat up a few pancakes for Hayley her face instantly lights up no syrup I tell her we can't risk ruining your beautiful dress but I hate it she protests all I do is pull her hair back into a bun like mine I've realized without Caleb her mommy daddy and Hayley are going to need me a lot more I'm going to have to step up my game. Guys come get in the car we have to be there early we all pile up into the car
