""I want to live INDEPENDENTLY and OUT OF THIS MISERABLE empty life of my father!" that was the last phrase we heard from him."

I'm sharing to Kadence what happened two nights ago at Mikhail's place.

That last line that Mikhail spoke kept repeating in my mind.

Why do people need to be so cruel?

Although I'm deeply saddened by Mikhail's situation, I'm trying to figure out the side of his father.

But no matter how hard I try, all I can come up with is how TERRIBLE he is as a Dad.

"How about his dad? Have you met him?"

"Yes. We've crossed paths with him just before we left their apartment." I replied while laying my head on the table.

**flashback**

It's almost 10pm. Cherry and I have to leave Mikhail's apartment because of Cherry's curfew.

When we opened the front door, a person appeared in front of us.

A skinny man wearing corporate attire stands before us while looking above the night sky. The expression on his face was plain. He looked troubled and tired from work. He is holding a bag full of canned beers on his right hand and a suitcase on his left.

Maybe he didn't notice us. He just stood there like a lifeless statue for almost one minute.

He close his eyes and sighs then slowly he looks at our direction. He is quite shocked to see us. Maybe he never thought someone would come and visit at this late hour.

"Oh I'm sorry, perhaps you are his friends?" He asks

"Y-yes." we replied nervously.

My girlfriend and I are tensed because of Mikhail's description about his old man. We thought the person we talked about was a big strong man with a scary look and a dangerous aura but..

"I'm glad." A weak yet gentle smile painted on his face.

This man standing in front of us.....is this really the father he told us about??

**end of flashback**
