[Graduation Day - Dorector's Message]
...Most of you will go to college and eventually be dedicated professionals while a few will skip higher education to already start their working careers. Either which, always remember that each one of you will go out to the world to take different yet equally important roles.
Education is the key to knowledge but learning still is the key to success. Books, notes, and lectures are just references or starting points for your learnings. We only share you our knowledge but learning is gained not only by reading books nor just by listening to our lectures. It is attained by experiencing things we, teachers and professors have introduced to you. It is not enough that you know, be hungry to learn more.
Our school has been molding you to be strong, to perservere, to be dedicated, to be passionate, to think critically, to decide wisely, and to know yourselves. Now, it is time for you to choose your own future, a path that leads to your dreams and aspirations. But don't forget to look back to where you came from and look at things at a step up.
As quoted from Henry Ford, "Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress and working together is success." As we reminisce the past years, certainly there was a beginning, and thankfully there was also progress and yes - undeniably we have been successful! Both the teachers and the students, as well as their parents, all worked together to fulfill an objective, that is, to awaken the new hopes of the future.
And now, let's all stand up and cherish this moment. You've all studied very well for 12 years. You deserve what you have attained right now. Altogether, say "SUCCESS!". Say it with conviction! SUCCESS!
"SUCCESS!!" this one word echoed like a thousand birds chirping on the open air.
