The Diary of Agent Yugi Mutou: A SASC Side Story

Entry 5 and First Mission

December 24, ****

Dear diary, it's me again- well who else would it be? Tomorrow is Christmas and well thing is- I'm going on my first mission tonight... so much for a happy holiday... what's worse is that I'm doing it solo. The board wants to see what I can do and so now- now I'm going on my first mission and first solo mission today. I'm on my way to the site via car since I'm too young to drive myself. The mission is simple- I have to defuse the bombs around the facility and plant one on the generator. After that it's about getting to the rendezvous point via snowboard which I was taught the basics of riding. The facility is on a mountainside in Russia and there's already tons of snow. I gotta get ready, I'll tell you what happens okay? Talk to you soon.

(A/N: hey kittens so here's something to know about this story! When I talk about missions I'm going to do a 3rd person POV of the actual mission then Yugi's POV after to show what he felt from it! That's all so back to the story! PS: the mission will be in Italics while the diary entries themselves will be in normal print)

Yugi rides in the hummer quietly going through his gear and loading his pistols just in case things go sour. The road was bumpy due to it being a mountain road it was worn from the elements. The hummer stops and the agent driving turns around, "we're here Mutou. The rendezvous is at the bottom of the mountain. The bomb timer is 5 minutes and the trigger is on your watch. Tap the ignite button and and the bomb will charge and blow up the generator. Do this after defusing the other bombs THEN you set the charge. You have two hours to complete this. Try to do it in less and the rendezvous is on the watch it will guide you down the mountain. We'll fire a flare also so you can find us easier. Good luck agent Mutou." Yugi nods and gathers his things and straps his guns to his chest and his board on his back and the bomb in his messenger bag.

The youth exits the hummer that speeds off leaving him. He adjusts the goggles on his head and his gloves before sneaking into the facility. He uses a handheld EMP to block the cameras as he immediately takes out the bombs then places the one he brought onto the generator and preps it to blow. He hears the pattering of boots on concrete and realizes he's been found out and goes to a window and breaks it down. He runs as bullets fly past him then he hears a stern voice yell an order out in russian. Yugi turns to find the head of the facility aiming his personal rifle at Yugi. The boy rushes and gets his board on and goggles and races down the mountain but not before yelping in pain as his shoulder and side now have bullet holes. He coughs up blood but turns and takes out the head and the other men before he hurries to the rendezvous. He has an emotionless expression that hides the fact he was in a LOT of pain. He sees the flare and follows it to the spot where the copter rests. He skids to a stop and doubles over panting as his shoulder and side throb from the bullets resting in them. He's assisted into the chopper and acts like there was nothing wrong as one of the agents bind his injuries to avoid him bleeding out.

When Yugi got back to Domino he was praised by Dartz for completing his mission in 20 minutes versus 2 hours and took out the head of the facility and nearly all his men. Yugi was given time to recover before his next mission was assigned by demand of Rei Scarva.

December 25, ****

Yesterday was my first mission and of course I got hurt. I knew I would since I'm still a newbie. My shoulder hurts on occasion as does my side and Jou won't stop worrying about me but he succeeded with his first mission too. I'm glad we're doing so well.

Ya know today was once a happy day but now... it's the first one without my parents. I think that's why dad assigned this mission. It was to distract me from any pain I might feel towards their deaths. He's really considerate when he wants to be. He's holding a party tonight and said that all his agents were invited- that made me kinda happy. A party sounds fun, well I'll talk to you later diary.
