Chapter 9

It was just like the Sleeping Beauty, Taehyung gently kissed her on the lips and slowly she opened her eyes, though her face was so pale due to a drastic blood loss.

Her hands slowly went up to Taehyung's cheeks and he could feel the coldness of her hands. Taehyung widened his eyes during the kiss.

"Taehyung?" Nami said.

Taehyung broke the kiss and shattered into tears. Finally, they met. He was hoping for this day to happen since the day he left her all alone in Daegu.

"Hey, why are you crying?" Nami asked.

"I'm worried for you..." he replied.

"Pabo-yah, you were the one who left me all alone!" Nami pinched Taehyung's arm and laughed.

Both of them smiled and chuckled. Unfortunately, Nami had a few days left to see and admire her friend's perfect feature before she leaves him alone.

Nami couldn't even imagine how will Taehyung feel after she goes away. He will never be the same again. Never.

The next day, Taehyung bought a bowl of porridge for Nami. He peeped through the door and saw Yoongi was talking to her. He saw a letter was given to Yoongi.

Taehyung knocked the door and both of them acted as if nothing happened.

"I brought some porridge for you!" Taehyung cheered the atmosphere up.

Nami thanked him and immediately tasted the porridge. She was so happy that the food was nice. Along the way, Yoongi quietly went out while Taehyung was busy with Nami.

He closed the door and opened the letter.

ENTRY 09 :

I promise
This is the last one
You will never see it again
Ever

I know
Your heart will shatter
Into pieces and scatter
Drift through the flowing water
Like there's no tomorrow and later

If only I could tell you earlier

Yoongi cried in silence. Tears flowed through his cheeks while reading those beautiful words. He looked at the door and saw both of them were already sleeping.

He just hoped that it would never be the last breath for her.

Taehyung was awakened by the beeping sound of the machine. The frequency was all straight and he started to get panic.

"Doctor!" He screamed.

A nurse brought the Doctor and quickly did some checkup on Nami. Taehyung was asked to wait outside. He couldn't content his grief so he cried all the way.

"Please save her..." he intertwined his fingers and prayed really hard.

When his first tear dropped, Nami let out her final breath. The Doctor looked down in disappointment. It's not that he didn't try but it was fate.

After the funeral, Yoongi and Taehyung decided to go back to Seoul. Breaks were almost over and it's time for him to get busy like before but this time, no letters will be sent to him.

Taehyung hugged Mrs Choi for the last time. He apologised for not being the best ever friend to her daughter and that he always wanted to be her husband but she went away even before him.

While he was on the train, Taehyung looked out the window. He was just staring at the bench being put at the train station.

He saw his past. Nami came and approached him while he was eating ice-cream. Taehyung always sits there when he misses Seoul. He wanted to go there so badly before this.

Taehyung wiped his tears off and sat back while the train slowly moved from the city of Daegu.
