"Dick, you can't just do that. You can't just say you aren't going on parole last minute." Bruce said dropping his body at the front gate.

"Since when? Don't you think it's better to comfort the girl who had a gun to her head than giving her orders to stay in her room? I bet she still doesn't know  how to get back to her room."

"Well if you boys did as I said and showed her around instead of letting her and Damian fight."

"Yeah yeah, you Already chewed us out for it. Just don't make her feel like she was at fault to these idiots braking in." I say kicking the unconscious dude." I looked out to see two ambulances and a cop car behind them pull up. The paramedics went straight for the man Jason had impaled.

"You stabbed him?"  Commissioner James Gordon asked in shock.

"They had a gun to my child's head. I did what I had to." Bruce replied coldly.

"Oh, no, I understand completely. it just means more paperwork. well, I'll just take your statement." Gordon said.

"I've got a movie to watch. By Bruce." I say slipping away.

"Dick we aren't done," Bruce warned but I was already headed for the door. I walked back to the kitchen to find my new sister talking to Alfred. She seems to be comfortable with him, now time to make her like me.

"Hey, their Carrot top," I say sitting down next to her. She wrinkled her nose at me and it was adorable.

"Why carrot top?" She asked.

"Because you have orange hair like a carrot."

"Yeah, but carrot tops are green." I let out a chuckle.

"Ok fine, carrot, are you ready to watch the movie?"

"You want my toast?" She asked, pointing to the slice of toast that was the last thing remaining on her plate.

"Sure." I grab it and take a bit. Hm, homemade bread, nice one, Alfred. "Come on," I say heading twirls the door but she wasn't following me. Instead, she was caring her dishes to the sink and turning on the water. "Oh, you don't have to wash your dishes, we have a dishwasher machine. Just leave it in the sink and Alfred will get to it later." She gave me a puzzled look.

"But I can get it done now, why wait? And why have Alfred done it? I'm the one who dirtied it. It's like I'm not supposed to do anything for myself."

"Miss pax, I assure you, I wouldn't have this job if I didn't find some joy in it."  Alfred smiled at her. Her smile fell and her eyes seemed to dull a bit, as though she weren't "here" anymore.

"Oh... o-ok. I'm sorry." She stepped away from the sink, her eyes locked on the floor.

"No need to apologize. No, go enjoy that movie." Alfred tried smiling at her but she just nodded. I couldn't help fur give her a look of confusion. She followed behind me quietly, her feet not making a sound. She's well trained in stealth I see.

"So what movie do you want to see?" I asked as we walked up the stairs. There wasn't an answer so I turned to see her about 10 steps behind me, climbing the steps one at a time, as though she were counting them. "Hey, is everything ok?" I asked but she didn't look up. It's the same thing that happened earlier on the mat. Oh, wait shes overthinking, isn't she? Bruce said that she does it and counting calms her down. That explains her sudden quietness in the kitchen. I connected up the stairs but stopped to wait for her.

"Why are we stopped?" She asked looking around confused. I knelt down to her hight and gave her a small smile.

"You know, whatever goes on in your mind, it's ok to say out loud. Thoughts can get pretty scary sometimes, especially when you don't have full control. Sometimes saying the thoughts aloud can help make them make more seance." She shook her head.
