Phone ringing...

"Just pick it up, and get it over with" Michael sighed, while eating the breakfast my mom had just made. He was sitting next to me, around the counter in the kitchen. My parents had left for work already, and we still had a couple of minutes before we had to leave for school.

"I can't. I don't know what to say" I said nervously, biting my lip piercing, suddenly losing my appetite.

"How about, hello?" He asked dumbfounded. I gave him a glare, making him look down at his food and continued eating.

"No, I can't talk to him right now..." I sighed and got up to put on my back.

"Then when can you?" He said exasperated.

"I don't know" I hissed back. Gosh, why was he always on my ass about getting me and Calum to talk? He should leave it, I was stubborn, and he knew that. There was no doubt that I was going to talk to Calum, but it was just not a good moment.

After that we just went to school without even talking. Before arriving at school, Michael held me back by laying a hand on my shoulder. He looked serious now.

"You wanted me to be there for you, so I will. Talk with him." he said glancing behind me.

"What?" I asked dumbfounded.

"Now!" He hissed lowly and pushed away from him where I accidentally bumped into someone. I looked to my side and saw Calum standing there and turning around to face the jerk who bumped into him. As he saw me his eyes quickly widened and he was quick to say something.

"Look Luke, I wanted to tell you and Michael about Ash and I, but honestly there's nothing there, trust me. He came on to me to experience what it felt like cause he had doubts, we kissed and that was it. nothing's going on, really."

"First of all, shouldn't you be telling mikey as well-" I cut myself off and looked back to see Michael had already left. "And second, I think you're overrating the word 'kiss', and third... I really don't care, Calum, no honestly, I just... give me a heads up next time, cool?" I said calmly as I turned to leave.

"Wait, so... we're cool?" he asked

"As long as you're being honest with yourself... I'm happy." I said forcing a smile, hoping he wouldn't notice the insincerity.

Calum's POV

I couldn't really move for a second there, but did nonetheless as Ashton ran up to me from behind.

"Cal... I need to talk to you" Ashton said seriously as I began walking in to the school, which was already almost empty, from students walking to class.

"What is it?" I asked, him panting behind me from running.

"Would you stop for a second? It's important."

"Then can't we do it after school? I'm late for class" I asked.

"Alright, your place, after school, sharp!" He said and left for his class quickly. I went to mine too. As I walked into the class, there was only ony seat left, next to Luke. which was obvious since we always sat next to each other in classes, pupils had gotten used to that, and knew not to take our seats. I smiled as I walked towards him, hoping that things were changed back to normal. He smiled too as I sat next to him, though his looked fake. I could see through him, he had been my best friend for so long, I knew him better than he knows.

"Hey, so I'm sorry if I acted like I was angry the other day, I think I was just surprised that my two best friends were making out without mentioning it to us, but you're not together so it doesn't matter right? It's not that big of a deal, now we can just continue as before" Luke whispered to me, careful not to attract attention from both the class and the teacher. She an annoying one, and had abnormal hearing.

"Quiet down, children!" Our annoying teacher yelled. She always treats us like children, thinking we're 7 years old.

I smiled back as response and nodded, not really daring to say anything else, or else our teacher might put us to time-out. I wish I was joking.

Finally when lunch had arrived, I went to sit next to Michael and Luke, that was until Ashton grabbed me by the the collar of my shirt and dragged me out of the cafeteria. Luke and Mike both looked at me like it was a lion and not Ashton dragging me out.

"Hey hey- watch it!" I hissed in pain as he had scratched some of my skin.

"Sorry, Cal the thing I had to say before, is too important to wait. Look remember when we talked after our kiss, and I said it was just to experience, I think I was wrong." He explained.

"What are you talking about?" I asked puzzled.

"I think, I have feelings for you."
