My life can get crazy, I deal with shit on the daily
But baby, I'm thinking maybe
We could agree to work it out like this -Kehlani"What is it like to be Human? Write it down, I want you to have your opinions on what is being human means to you." Ms. Jules tells the class before she ends it. She has 3 classes on Monday and Wednesdays and two on Fridays at Los Angeles Valley Community College. This is her first year teaching, she graduated from Columbia College in Chicago last year in Art History. She fell in love with the major when she went to Paris with her best friend Aisha years ago.
"So does anyone want to share?" She speaks to the class. A young boy raises his hand, the only one actually. He had short dark brown hair and she thinks his eyes are blue but she can't fully tell being that he is so far back. She walks over to her desk and look at her seating chart where her students names are placed and trace to the boy that raised his hand, Mason Blackwood, "Yes, Mason." She says as she looks back up at the young man.
"Being human is making mistakes, making the wrong choices, making the right choices, learning as you grow. Doing crazy things, falling in love with the right person, no matter how complicated the situation is." Ms. Jules was so captivated by the young man. Not because he had a British accent but because the words he chose for being human were so perfectly spoken, and the right answer to fit it.
"Thank you." She smiled and he gives her a grinned back. "Always my pleasure." She turns a shade red but turns her face so the class won't see. Fuck Persephone, that's your student, get a grip. She was so turned on. She hasn't had sex in well over a year, her and her husband been arguing non stop. Just a month ago she filed for a divorce so its been a rough time for her.
"Well that's it for today class, I'll see you Wednesday." The class stands and she turns her back to gather her things and put it in her bag, this was her last class of the day so she get to head home. After letting out a breath she was holding she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Have a great rest of your day Ms. Jules." She knew it was that Mason Blackwood kid, she debated whether or not to turn around but decided to do so, so she doesn't rude.
"You as well." She smiles at him as he was already smiling at her. She was close enough to notices his eyes were blue and he was wearing cologne that smelled like heaven. She preceded putting her things away and turning back around as he walked out the class room. How haven't I noticed this kid?
***Banging on the door loudly so Aisha could hear. Persephone knew Aisha will give her a ton of crap for this. "Ugh you-"
"I know I know I left my keys, I'm sorry." She says as Aisha opens the door and Persephone walks in to her apartment. She sits her bag on the kitchen table and looks over to see her keys on the couch, next where she lays at night.
"So how was your day" she asks Aisha. Aisha is an Freelance Photographer, she is very popular in LA so she gets many customers. "I had to take picture of someone cat, yeah the weirdo wanted to have a calendar so she could sell them." Aisha said ash she was sweeping her floors.
"Rich people are weird." Persephone says as she pulls put her phone from her pocket."Are you going to help clean?" Aisha asked as Persephone leaned on the Island and scrolled through her facebook. Aisha noticed she wasn't paying attention so she walked up to her and snatch her phone out of her manicured fingers. "Hey!" Persephone screamed, trying to chase Aisha around the Island.
"Lets see who have you preoccupied." Aisha says. She looks at Persephone screen and sees the profile she was lurking at.
"Who's Mason Blackwood?"
Are you down to be a distraction, baby?
But don't distract me, let me ask you, baby
Do you, do you,do you do you wanna be
A distraction, baby?
