Flashback
You were heading to the normal table you sit at during lunch, the table where your friends, RWBY and JNPR, sat at as well. Suddenly you see a Faunus girl's ears being pulled by Beacon's biggest bully, Cardin. Immediately forgetting about your lunch you walk over to them and shove Cardin. "The hell's your proble-" He yells before getting shut up. "My problem is your mistreatment of this beautiful lady right here." You spoke in a calm, yet determined voice. "Leave before this gets ugly." You warned. Cardin backed up, but seeing the crowd, he gained a completely different attitude and tried rushing you with his mace. "Alright, tough guy, come at me." You said as you activated your semblance, slowing down time for everyone except for you, and punched and kicked him down and resumed time. Upon seeing his low chance of winning, and out of embarrassment, Cardin ran along with his team, (C)RDL. The crowd woo'd you as you made your way to Velvet, "I'm Y/N, nice to meet you Miss--" You said with a smile until you realized you didn't know her name. "Velvet. My name is Velvet." She says in a quiet voice. Slightly recovering from your embarrassment, you asked if you could get to know her better over dinner, your treat, which she accepted.
Flashback End
Since then, you two had been going strong in a relationship for a few months, even reaching a point where you trusted each other enough to have the keys to each other's dorm in case you needed the other. You wandered the lunchroom yet again, but instead of heading to the table where RWBY sat, you looked for Velvet to take her out for a date you planned along with her a few days ago. Looking around the tables, and asking around, you still couldn't find the bunny Faunus anywhere. Instead of continuing to waste time looking for her on a wild goose chase, you messaged her.
You: Hey Velvet, where are you at, looking for you in the lunchroom for the date.
Velvet <3: Sick, maybe we could reschedule the date? I'm not feeling so well right now so I'm lying in bed.
You: Yeah I'm okay with postponing, but do you want me to come over with soup and blankets?
Velvet <3: No don't! I mean you don't have to, so you don't get sick.
You: Alright then, I'll see you later?
Putting down your scroll, you go to CFVY's dorm to check on Velvet. You aren't the type of person to leave your girlfriend alone during a sick spell, right? (Right?) Anyways, arriving at their dorm you open the door and instead of finding a sick Velvet with tissues everywhere, you find Coco and Velvet making out and even stripping. You clear your throat to get their attention, but to no avail, to which you decide to leave and head to your dorm after getting a picture for evidence. The next day, you wake up with a couple of messages from Velvet.
Velvet <3: Hey Y/N! I'm feeling better, wanna hang out? :3
Velvet <3: Are you sleeping? If not, you can come over to my dorm so we can hang out :3
Velvet <3: Y/N, can you come over and help me, I have a- problem I need your help with. :3
Sighing, you got up and changed clothes to visit her at her dorm.
Time skip to the dorm brought to you by me asking if you would leave someone alone on a sick spell over and over again
Opening her dorm's door, you walk in and find a happy Velvet running up and hugging you. "I really missed you Y/N! Wanna go out on the date we were talking about?" She exclaimed excitedly not seeing the difference in your mood and lack of hugs that normally would come to her by this point. "Listen, Velv, I have to tell you something." You said, calmly as normal. She gasps. "Are you proposing to me?!?" She asks excitedly. "No, I'm breaking up with you." You said, showing the incriminating evidence of her and Coco. "I saw you two yesterday making out, don't act like you don't know anything" You coldly said after her denial of that happening. "We're over. Done. You cheated on me and karma's a bitch." You added, in the same cold tone. "Goodbye Velvet, I hope Coco treats you better than I did." You started to walk out but she calls to you. "No, wait! That was a misunderstanding, a mistake! I still love you Y/N! Don't leave me!" She broke into tears at that moment. You continued to leave, the past you would've comforted her, but that is a time long behind you. You walked out of the CFVY dorm with Velvet on the ground crying, not looking back again.
