Twelve hours later we gave the keys of the shop to Lee. This was only for emergencies because Fred and George had decided to leave it closed for the week we would be gone. So we apparated to the island in the Caribbean. It was not that easy because neither of us had ever been there but we'd informed ourselves in a muggle travel agency and we saw many pictures of the capital of Barbados. Gladly it worked.
We found ourselves behind a few palms. It was a lot warmer than back in London but it was also so beautiful. We could see a white beach with beautiful turquoise water. A few people were at the beach, either lying in the sun or playing in the sea like two children did. I asked myself how we should find mum in this city. We had no address or anything else. The only hint was that she lived here in Bridgetown, the capital. But there was no reason to worry about how to find her. I heard her call my name.
"Athena!" I turned around and saw her on the other side of the road.
"Look, there she is", I told the twins before we crossed the street.
It was so wonderful to see my mother again. I hadn't seen her after she went away last September. We were both crying when we fell into eachother's arms.
"How are you feeling", she asked and looked at me. "Are you alright?"
"Yes, Mum. I've never felt better." And then she hugged me again. But of course she didn't forget Fred and George. When she let go of me, she greeted them too. And again she began to cry. "Thank you", was everything she could say before she burst into tears. When she calmed herself down a bit, she continued taking:
"Thank you for taking care of my little girl. Thank you for making her happy." She smiled. "I would adopt both of you to be my sons."
"Well one of them could be your son in law", I said and kissed Fred. Mum screamed out of happiness.
It was very emotional. We cried a lot on this day. Mum and I were both so happy to have each other back. We went shopping together and ate ice cream. Then we visited her workplace: a flower shop. She introduced us to Lizzy, who also worked there. Fred and George seemed to know her. Lizzy and the twins hugged each other like old friends.
"How does England look like", Lizzy asked after we told her our names. She had a strong British accent which confused me. I thought she should know how it looks. I wanted to ask this question but she continued before I could start: "I mean with the war going on and with our pink problem called Umbridge." Oh, she was a witch too. Probably the one mum had written about in her letter.
"It is okay when you're not involved in this war that much." It was George who answered. "I think we can be glad we're not muggles. They don't know what's happening and why so many of them are found dead."
"You know it, Lizzy." This time it was Fred. "You've worked for the order too. We always have to worry about our loved ones. We are checking the daily prophet every day. George and I have 5 siblings. Two of them and our parents work for the order too and Ron and Ginny belong to Harry Potters best friends. Percy works for the ministry and the order is sure that Lord Voldemort will make it fall and possess it. So all of our family members are in danger. Lots of our friends are in the order too. Many people die every day. And yes, George, we are involved. Not just a bit. We are in it and we are in danger. Face what is coming."
After Fred's little speech that let us face the truth the happiness continued. After lunch mum showed us Bridgetown. It was a very beautiful city with an amazing beach that we had already seen when we arrived. Time flew so fast and when we saw the gorgeous sunset we went to bed right after it because we had woken up in the British time zone. It was already midnight at home.
