My complicated angel

Chapter 1

Carson's POV
I'm now at my competition I'm so worried, what if I don't place? It will all be for nothing. I have a dance comp next week. If I don't place daddy's gonna kill me. He hates me dancing. He doesn't want me getting hurt. My mum loved my dancing, she said I was her little angel. Before everything changed. She was killed in a car accident. My daddy told me it was because of a drunk driver, I'm not sure though. Anyway it's time for me to go on.
*after the routine*
And the winners are.... the JAGUARS! We won. 8 championship titles! I can't believe this. I hope I have this much luck at my dance comp next week. Dance is my only escape. From life, my family, my friends, thinking about my mum.... I miss her. I want her back. Why did she have to go? Why did the accident happen? Was it my fault? She was rushing to get to my competition, she promised she would be there. Then she was dead. I feel like it was my fault, I made her promise to be there. She was working, she was a dance teacher. I made her promise to come. She said she would try, I begged. She was late I was just about to go on. I finally went on she wasn't there. When I finished my dance a police officer came over to me. "I'm sorry for your loss, your mum was on her way here when a drunk driver hit her." I broke down crying. I ran out of competition. I got in my car crying. I drove home with tears stinging my eyes. I ran in the house and into my dads arms. He just held me. I fell asleep in his arms from crying so much. Every day it gets easier for him, but not for me. He's going on about someone called sky. Has he moved on from mum? Is he trying to replace her?

Carson? Ellie said. Oh I'm sorry I must've drifted off after competition. It's ok Carson, I know how much you miss your mum and how much you wanted her here. It's still hard Ellie. He keeps talking about sky. Has he replaced her already? I'm sure he still loves your mum very much, but he needs to move on I know how much you want him not to but if it makes him happy let him move on ellie told me. I know he seems happier but I can't picture him with anyone else I explained. I'm still not sure if she was hit by a drunk driver. Carson please drop this. The police said she was hit by a drunk driver, so that's what happened. But Ellie he was never sent to jail! He got away with it! I hate him. Carson sweetie I know you do but we can't change the past no matter how hard we want to we can't. Let time run its course karma will get him. You're right, I'm going to stop going on about this. Thank you for being here for me Ellie. It's ok Carson I know you would do the same for me. Of course I would E.
