"Alright, who wanna make these free throws so we can go home?"
Nobody raised their hand, so I stepped up to the plate.
"Aubrey! Alright. Let's see if you got what it takes. If she don't makes this y'all got ten down and backs!" Everyone had groaned and look at me to shoot my shot.
Took two dribbles, lined up my shot, inhaled and exhaled, then put the ball to the basket.

All you hear is my team going wild, we really hate running.
We clapped it up and went to the center.
"Get some rest ladies! We got games tomorrow and depending if we win games really do determine how many games we play in all."
Everyone nodded and broke it down then went to get ready to leave.
I grabbed my bag then my keys and changed my shoes to slides.
Then left to go home and I was so ready to touch that bed!
I was driving on my way home and my car told me I had a call from River, so I answered it through my driving wheel.
"Hey River! What's going on?" The line was quiet for a few seconds and then someone spoke up.
"Hey Aubrey, this is Noah. Nice to hear your voice again."

She finished up and wiped her mouth. I pulled my pants back up and got back to playing fortnite.
"Noah, how was it baby?" I looked at her and just kept playing.
"So you're not going to respond to me?"
I huffed and said to her "We're not together, so stop calling me baby. You're just a hoe that I get head from, okay?"
I saw a tear run down her cheek and she was either going to slap me or say something.
This time I got a slap to the face and she ran out my house.
Afterwards, I hopped in the shower and got ready to go hang out with the gang.
Jaden called me and see where I'm at and I told him that I was on my way.
With that, I hopped into the car and I was on my way.

"Where your ass been at? We're waiting on your ass." I laughed and walked into the house.
I sat down and plopped down on the couch then everyone started to look at me like something was wrong.
"Why the hell you niggas looking at me for?"
"Noah, we're tired of your hoe ways. You need a girl because I feel like you going to catch something." River had said and everyone agreed.
I laughed at them thinking that they were playing, but they were all serious.
"Why do you think anyone will be committed to me or even wanted to be committed to me? Dealing with my ways, nobody is up for it." Everyone started looking at each other and smirks begin to come about.
"Okay, you guys know I hate being left out. What are y'all thinking?"
River started to tap away on her phone then walked up to me and gave me the phone.
I looked at it and it was Aubrey's number.
"You know that she is not going to for me. I fucked her over and I do regret that shit." I gave her back her phone and she looked me then gave me back the phone.
"You'll never know until you try." I looked at her and huffed then went to the other room.
I clicked the call button and waited for the ring.
She picked the phone and anxiety rushed so quickly to me.
"Hey River! What's going on?" I was quite, just thinking about what I want to say.
"Hey Aubrey, this is Noah. Nice to hear your voice again." She seemed shocked when she heard my voice.
She was probably disappointed.
"Hey Noah. What's going with you? It's been a minute since I've talked to you."
"Yeah. I know." I paused and huffed.
"Do you got something to do tomorrow?"
"Yeah, I have some basketball games tomorrow."
"Oh alright. Well, can I take you out later on?"
I can tell that she was smiling through the phone.
"Yeah, Noah. I'd like that. Swing by my house at 12, okay?"
"Alright Aubrey. See you later."
"Bye Noah."
"Bye." Then the call ended and anxiety went away.
Feelings are coming back again and they're not leaving no time soon.
