I watched her go in and then played the waiting game.

Twenty minutes later, Aubrey came back crying.

I instantly pulled her into a hug.

What the hell just happened in twenty minutes?

*okay back to the book.

Aubrey Parker

Lamelo just picked me up and we're on the way to Noah's house.

I tried not to think about Noah's reaction when I tell him this, but it's not working.

I guess Melo saw how nervous I was and got my mind off the topic.

"You know Aubrey when you get to Chino, you going to have a whole bunch of scouts looking at you."

"I know and that's what I'm nervous about. What if I'm not good enough?"

"You're more than good enough. You're phenomenal and I'm not just saying it because I like you. You're actually very talented, might be better than me." I smiled and kissed his cheek then thanked him for the ride.

He pulls me back and hugged me then said, "You want me to wait on you?"

"Yeah if you could. I just have to tell him that I'm moving and other stuff like that."

"Okay, I'll be out here waiting." I nodded and walked up to Noah's door and knocked on it.

I checked my outfit one last time before the door opened.

Noah's dad opened the door and he gave me a hug then let me in.

I walked in and looked around, waiting for Noah to show up somewhere.

Then this woman walked up to me and looked at me, "Aren't you Aubrey Parker?"

"Yes, that's me."

"Well, I would love for you to come and practice with my team. Is that okay for you?"

I was confused then I started to look more and more into her face and I noticed that she was the head coach for Texas.

That was one of my choices dealing with college.

"Yes, it would be a honor." I smiled and shook her hand then went to the kitchen to see if Noah was there.

Unfortunately he wasn't, but his sister told me that he was in his room.

I walked upstairs then to his room, and I heard a lot of shuffling going on.

I opened the door to see Noah making out with this other girl.

"I thought this would be behind us. I guess I was wrong." He pushed her off of him and looked at me with guilt.
