I like girls.
And boys, I guess, but I'll get to that later.I like girls,
girls with pale round cheeks and long curly hair and freckles,
with jet black straight hair and big brown eyes and skin several shades darker than my own,
with brown skin and locks of curly black hair pulled back in ponytails,
with green eyes that sparkle in the sun and crinkle when they smile,
with skin darker than night and hair curled smaller than my pinky finger and black eyes they never look at me straight with,
with dyed red hair, frosty white skin, and black-rimmed glasses,
with calm, measured voices as they read out their poetry (-but never any love poems).I like boys,
boys sculpted out of glass and marble,
with warm brown eyes and skin clearer than mine will ever be,
with jokes I try not to laugh at so they don't know I think they're funny,
boys with freckles that they hate and glasses they never wear (-but they seem to see okay).I like people,
people I barely know
partially dreamed into being (-but dreams are the best sort of reality).
