I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER :(

If I did,Hedwig would be alive as well as Sirius. So,on to the story.

Madelyn 'Mady' Potter smiled as she packed her trunk. Once again, she was headed of to Hogwarts for another year of magic. After the whole Quidditch World Cup incident, she was happy to be heading back. Putting the last of her clothing in her trunk, Mady moved on to shoes, wondering how many pairs she should bring.

"Mady Get a move on. It's also most ten o'clock. It is an half an hour drive to the station. I will not start my position as a Hogwarts professor as with tardiness," Lily Potter called up the steps leading to Mady's room.

Mady groaned as she continued to pack. She would have to suffer with having her mother as her teacher.

'At least she's teaching potions ,' Mady thought closing her trunk and dragging it down the steps.

"Took you long enough," remarked Harry as he scooped more porridge into his mouth.

Mady rolled her eyes and sat down, grabbing an apple from the bowl in the middle.

"You're just jealous because I can wait until an hour before we leave,be done packing, and manage not to forget a single thing while you pack the night before for three hours and always end up having to have Mum and Daddy send it to you," retorted Mady as she grabbed an Apple out of the fruit dish.

"Jealous. Of you? That's a good one Mads," Harry laughed and then started choking on his porridge.

Mady simply smirked and looked at him.

"Serves you right.Making fun of poor, innocent, little me," Mady remarked.Harry rolled his eyes and continued to scarf down his food Throwing the core of her apple into the garbage can, Mady walked into the living room where Lily was going through her check list making sure that they had everything.

" Alright Potters, Dad is pulling the car around front. This is your last chance to grab anything you may have forgotten," Lily spoke in a knowing manor, looking at Harry.

"Why are you looking at me?" Harry joked.

Finally, the Potters were off to King's Cross.

"So when are you and Uncle Paddy coming for a visit Daddy," Mady asked her father, who,for once, did not look as glum as he did in previous years when he sent his wife and twins off to school.

"Well Mady, Padfoot and I actually won't be visiting," Mady's frown was very noticeable from the backseat of the family SUV.

"Why not Dad?" Harry questioned.

"Well, we both are actually going to be teaching this year,"

Mady's face lit up. Being a 'Daddy's Girl' since birth, she was excited at the possibility of spending more than a third of the year with her father. Plus, with Pettigrew still on the loose, nothing made Mady feel safer than having her Daddy around.

" Really!? What class are you teaching? What class is Paddy teaching?"

"Well, Padfoot was hired as the new Defense Against the Dark Arts, I'm going to be teaching the young first years to fly, and I'm going to be refereeing the Quidditch games. Madame Hooch was offered a position to train the Holly Head Harpies,"

"But Dad, I heard that Alastor was going to be our professor,"

"That was before Dumbledore came up with the idea to have Sirius to be the new professor, Alastor is now going to be posted at Hogwarts, there are wards up, and, just in case they fail for any reason, Alastor is there," Lily informed the kids, pushing aside the feeling of nausea that had worked its way up Lily's throat.

" Why would the wards fail,?" Harry questioned his father.

"Yeah Dad, its not like this school year is going top be any different than the rest,"

Lily and James shared a knowing look, causing the twins to frown.

"What do you guys know that you aren't telling us?" Harry asked.

"Nothing," the married couple replied at the same time. A slight laugh came from each of their mouths and the couple grabbed one another's hands.

" You both will see in due time," James told the kids as he pulled into the King's Cross Station.

Getting all of the trunks from the back of the SUV, James and the rest of the Potters made their way into the station and onto the platform.

Making their way through the platform, Mady and Harry made their way through the crowds, trying to find any of the Weasleys or Hermione.

Mady trailed behind Harry, subconsciously pulling down her shirt and cursing herself for wearing shorts.

Unlike her brother,Mady was cursed with two scars. How? Nobody really knows. While everybody can spot the scar that is on her lower left cheek, nobody ever really noticed the scar that she had spanning from her upper hip to her knee, and Mady tried her hardest to keep it that way.

Walking a bit slower behind her twin, Mady caught sight of a head of platinum  blonde hair, and, felt her heart skip a bit.

Her heart skip? Why was her heartbeat speeding up seeing Draco Malfoy. He was nothing but a git to her friends, and brother. But, thinking back to all of the encounters that Mady and the rest have had with him, he never seemed to direct any insults at her. Thinking even harder, Mady seemed to remember to him throwing a smile or two her way.

Over looking the fact that Draco had used words that Mady not only found offensive, but, she would never imagine saying herself, Mady tried to get her heartbeat to slow, unbeknownst to her that Draco Malfoy's mind was now filled with thoughts of a certain ebony haired Potter girl.

"Mady, there you are!"

The voice of Harry filled Mady's ears and she turned, looking into eyes identical to hers.

"I've found Ron and Hermione, where were you? I thought you were right behind me?"

" I just got distracted, let's get on the train, its almost eleven anyways.

Harry nodded and Mady led the way to the train.

Standing in the hall way of the train, Mady and Harry listened as the engine whistled and felt the jerk of the train start and felt themselves moving forward, onto a new school year, and, knowing the Potter Twins, they were off to a school year filled with adventure. Unbeknownst to all of them that this school year would be their greatest adventure yet.
