A/N So, I realized that in the first chapter, I listed that Sirius was going to be teaching defense, so, in this story, Remus teaches History of Magic, not Binns, Lily teaches charms to the first and second year students, Sirius still teaches defense, and James is the Quidditch referee and the flying instructor at Hogwarts.

Onto the story

Mady walked through the train along with Harry. The pair were slightly annoyed with the fact that their parents would be riding the Hogwarts Express with them. Not only would this give the Marauders a chance to strike, but, c'mon, wasn't it enough that they were going to be at Hogwarts with their children, did they really have to be on the train with them as well?

Mady was a big Daddy's Girl, and, she was beyond happy to have him at Hogwarts, but, even she wanted time away, time that she could spend with the Weasleys and Hermione, talking with them about things that there was no need for parents to know about their children.

"Mady, your father and I are  going to go sit with Uncle Remus and Uncle Sirius, you and Harry  can join us if you want," Lily Potter spoke to her daughter, who, was paying more attention to the setting passing by as the train barreled on the tracks.

Looking at Harry, whose face was filled with the same mix of guilt and panic as hers, she turned to her mother.

"Thanks Mom, but, I think that Harry and I are going to find Hermione and the Weasleys," The twins then took off to the compartment that they usually acquired on their trips to Hogwarts.

"Oh, Harry, I forgot, Dad hid a pack of Dungbombs in his trunk, I'm going to steal them back, give me the cloak,"

Harry handed Mady the cloak from his trunk and she slipped it on. Making her way into the Professors's Compartment, Mady stealthily grabbed the Dungbombs from James' trunk and put the cloak back into her bag, looking down as she walked to her compartment, until she collided with something hard, causing her to fall onto the floor.

"You know, you should really watch were you're....going," A male voice said.

Looking up, Mady saw she had bumped into, none other than... Draco Malfoy.

'That something hard must have been his abs,' Mady thought

"Sorry, I was just in a....um...rush,"

Mady had never realized just how good looking Draco really is. She could look into his gray/blue eyes, and, his platinum blonde hair.

Little did Mady know, Draco was thinking the same thing about her. He was looking into her emerald green eyes, and, he felt as if any emeralds that the Malfoy family owned would never be as beautiful as the emeralds that are her eyes.

"Its...its okay," Draco found himself at a loss for words as the two just sat there on the floor.

Coming to his senses, Draco got up and held out his had for Mady. Taking his hand, Draco pulled her up and brushed off her robes, causing a faint blush to appear on her face.

The fact that the two were looking at one another without feeling loathing or extreme hatred was surprising and refreshing to each person. Draco and Mady both were simply amazed that they never realized just how stunning the other was.

Mady became aware of the fact that she was still holding onto Draco's hand, and, her blushed deepened to the shade of a Weasley red.

Quickly,Mady let go and took a step back from, Draco. She could see his eyes better, and, she felt as though she was swimming ion the grey blue waters that were his eyes. If every ocean's waters were that color, then Mady would be a beach bum for the rest of her days.

When Mady stepped back, though,Draco missed the feel of her soft, dainty hand is his slightly rough masculine one, all he could think about was how right his previous thought had been. No single emerald that the Malfoy family owned could ever come close to being as beautiful as Mady Potter's eyes.

Finally coming to his senses, Draco spoke.

"Ready for the school year Mady?"

At first, Mady was shocked that Draco referred to her by her first name.

Smiling,Mady pushed a lock coal dark curly hair behind her ear.

"I'm very excited actually, my father and Godfather have both taken up positions as professors at Hogwarts,"

Draco's eyebrows rose in shock and Mady smiled.

"What, no excited to have your cousin as your teacher?"

Draco let out a slight laugh.

"No,but,I can't imagine what my father will think, having Sirius as one of our professors,"

Mady smiled slightly.

"He will probably be as excited to hear that as he will be to see my father refereeing all the Quidditch matches," Mady joked, actually earning a slight chuckle from Draco.

"You know Potter, I mean Mady, you have quite the sense of humor on you, who would have guessed?"

Mady chuckled.

"You know Malfoy, I mean Draco," Mady mimicked the words he had used just moments before. "You're actually a nice guy, when your goons of friends arent't around,"

With that comment, Mady walked back to her compartment, thinking it best to leave him to ponder that comment and to leave him wanting more, hopefully.

The effect she wanted happened. Not only was Draco frozen to the spot that he was in, starring at where Mady had been standing only moments ago, pondering over what she had said.

Draco was pondering the way she made his heart pound, like it was going to burst out of his chest. How was it that this girl, whom he had only spoken to in a civil tone for the past four years have this kind of effect on him. Better yet, how could a POTTER have this type of effect on him.

"You coming Malfoy," The voice of Vincent Crabbe pulled Draco out of his thoughts.

"Of course I'm coming you daft twit," Draco spoke, all to aware of the words that he was speaking now. Mady's words ringing in his ears, making him regret that he ever used the words to begin with.

Back in the last compartment, Mady plopped down next to Hermione, her mid still focused on what had just happened in the hallway.

What had happened?

What was it that Draco did that made her heart beat go out of control. What was it about him that made her mind focus on nothing else but him? Mady knew it was wrong for her feelings to be anything but a pure loathing for Draco, he was a Malfoy, dark and evil, she was a Potter, light and good. Visions of her godfather than plagued her mind. Sirius' family was one of the most infamous dark arts families, and he turned out to be one of the best Aurors and was even a member of the Order of the Phoenix, he wasn't bad at all. This posed Mady with a question that she knew only her heart, and Draco could answer over time, was Draco really as bad as he was made out to be?

"Mady,"

Mady was pulled out of her thoughts by Hermione.

"Yeah 'Mione?"

"I was asking if you wanted to go to the restroom compartment, we have to change into our robes, we will be at Hogwarts soon,"

"Oh, sure, Ginny, are you coming with us?"

The three girls made their way to the bathroom compartment, giggling over something Ginny had said.Unknown to them, Draco stood in his compartment hearing Mady's laugh as she passed by. He never thought that some girl, who he hardly knows, some girl that, by genetics, he was supposed to hate, would have a laugh that would sound even more heavenly than the sound of angels singing.

What was left of the train ride to Hogwarts went smoothly for its remainder, until however, yells of "Who stole my Dungbombs," could be heard throughout the train, along with Lily scolding their father and the last compartment laughing uncontrollably.
