Anna [J.Shelby]

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

"Dad!" One of the kids called, making Anna chuckle as John placed pleasure-filled kisses along her collarbone.

"John, if we don't stop they'll come in"
Anna spoke, John silencing her by crashing their lips together, other thoughts forgotten as their body's moved together, bare skin brushing, heat trapped between their bodies. The problem about loving another is once you've had a taste of their love, you never want to forget it, you always want more.

"Dad! Katie's wet the bed again!" James shouted, making them both laugh breathlessly as John replied, "I'll be there in a minute mate!"

Anna gripped harder onto John, before he flipped over as the door opened, gun clutched in his hand as he breathed heavily.

"Jesus fucking christ Tommy" Anna breathed, her body covered with Johns and the covers.

"John, I've told you to keep the doors locked. It could've been anyone" Tommy said.

"Get dressed, we're doing it today" Tommy chucked the clothes towards John.

Much to Anna's dismay, John got up and started to get dressed, making her fall back on the bed, arms spread out wide in disappointment.

"That's means you get dressed an' all, you're comin' with me"

"I'm not a Shelby, now am I?"Anna smiled.

"Ay, perhaps you aren't a Shelby," yet.

"but you're family, and you work for us now hurry the fuck up before I finish what I started"

At 6 Watery Lane, the inner circle and Shelby clan gathered around to hear what Tommy had to say.

"Right, I brought you all here today, because this is the day that we replace Billy Kimber, this is the day that we become respectable, the day we join the 'Official National Association of Race Course Bookmakers'. But first, we do the dirty work." Tommy began.

Anna glanced up at John, knowing exactly where this was going and she wasn't sure if she liked it or not.

"Now you've all known this days been coming, I just haven't told anyone the date."

Tommy glanced over at rhe chalkboard, "we're going to the Worcester races. Track opens at one, we get there at two. Now Kimber thinks we're going there to help him fight the Lee brothers. Though John never did quite get round to marrying a Lee girl, thanks to lovely Anna" Tommy glanced over at Anna with an amused look, making her look away from the prying eyes, a small smile on her face.

"But thanks to my negotiations, the Lee family are now close to kin, and we employ some of their Lady's. So it'll be us and the Lee's against Kimbers boys. We take them out then leave the bookies. I expect a swift victory that'll send a signal all the way to London that we believe in letting legitimate businesses run peacefully"

"An', er, what about Kimber himself?" John asked, to which Tommy replied, "we'll deal with Kimber"

"Any other questions?"

"Yes" Polly spoke, walking over to the dividing double doors, "oh does anyone object if I bring a newcomer to the meeting?"

"I'd like to introduce the newest member of the Shelby clan" There was a small smile on Polly's face as Ada entered through the double doors and the people in the room began to clap.

"Welcome home Ada"

"We named him Karl, after Karl Marks" Ada's name choice brought laughter and remarks.

"Karl-bloody-Marks. Let me get a look at him" Arthur approachhed her, amusement in his tone.

"Oh 'ere we go" John chuckled.

"Ay, look, he looks just like me, look" Arthur grinned, his peaky cap placed on the bundled head of Baby Karl, laughter ringing out as loud as ever.

"He's alright, he's a Shelby" Arthur replied to one of John's snarky remarks.

"Well, Ada, am I forgiven?" Tommy asked, the inner circle beginning to disperse.

"If what Aunt Polly and Anna says is true."

"It's true" Tommy nodded, Ada breathing a sigh of relief and putting her arms around her brother.

John took baby Karl in his arms, Anna, John and Arthur laughing still at the latter's remarks.

"He's beautiful. Definately nothing like Arthur" Anna commented, making John snort.

"I have you know I am beautiful. I had all the girls back in my day"

"I don't doubt it, but for a completely different reason than beauty" Anna snorted, John glancing down at her, amused as she grinned at Arthur.

This wasn't much of a John and Anna Chapter in a sense however I need to get s1 finished so my own Chapters start and then they lead into S2 and so on. So after next Chapter, the Chapters will be my own content for around 4-5 chapters!
