Chapter 14- Vampires...

Amy’s POV

I had grabbed all my stuff and it was in a bag ready to go, I was just waiting for James to come back and he was going to take me home. I waited patiently as I sat on the end of the hospital bed; Geez the time has gone quick I’ve been in the hospital for a few days now but it felt like time has flown when I’ve been with James. He has constantly been next to me talking, bringing me proper food instead of the crap hospital food; he is so sweet.

I sat patiently waiting, when I felt someone hovering behind me; sending a shiver down my spine. I quickly turned around to see a broad figure towering over me; I got up from the bed rushing to the door but he was quickly in front of me.

“I told you I would be back for you, my love” He said sickly, coming closer to me; I kept walking back until my back hit the wall with a ‘thud’. He smirked; his fa-fangs showing. I-I just remembered he’s-he’s a-a…

“The terms ‘Vampire’” He said pushing me harder up against the wall; his hands firmly on either side of my shoulders. I pushed him away and to my surprise he stumbled back. He looked up at me stunned and I took that as my chance to run but he quickly came rushing back at me my head hitting the wall hard.

“You little b- He began…

“Amy” A familiar male voice said, I looked past the guys head to see James standing defensively in the doorway. Then-then I saw it his- his...

Fangs….

James POV

I walked into Amy’s Hospital room, holding some hash browns and a Mc Donald’s breakfast burger. It was Amy’s last day in the hospital and she was finally going to be let out, I always made sure I was out of the room whenever Amy was asleep; I really didn’t want to loose control in front of her.

I walked in to see Kieran hovering over Amy, who looked terrified; I dropped the food on the floor without thinking.

“Amy” I said softly, she looked past Kieran’s head to look at me; she looked terrified. I stood defensively at the door flaring my fangs at Kieran; Amy paled considerably when she looked at me and I remembered she didn’t know about Vampires. I knew when I found her in the alley-way when she was bite by Kieran but I let Alec and his family deal with it; It was really hard finding Amy on the ground a few days ago bleeding out.

“Let. Her. Go” I growled at Kieran who smirked at me maliciously; I advanced at him but at the same time he wrapped his hand tightly around Amy’s throat raising her off the ground. She began scratching at Kieran’s hand; drawing blood, I watched in horror I didn’t want to move just in case he hurt her any more.

“Bitch” Kieran cursed as Amy started scratching at Kieran’s hand.

“You,” He turned to me.

“Do not move,” He threatened me, as he placed Amy back on the ground but he still had a firm grip on her neck. I sighed in defeat, he had to upper hand but I had to get Amy to safety.

"How are you still alive?" I accused Kieran; I was there watching when Kieran was killed, why is he not dead.

"They missed my heart and I pretended to be dead" Kieran said; looking over his shoulder at me. I watched as Amy pushed Kieran away and I took that as my chance to get Kieran; I grabbed him from behind a firm lock around his neck. Amy was running around the room looking for god knows what as I struggled to tackle Kieran to the ground; I managed to lower him to his knees with my arms still around his neck firmly.

Amy came back with-with Scissors…where the hell did she get that? Amy plunged the scissors through Kieran’s heart, I watched, as he became pale and age immensely; he then quickly went limp in my hold. I quickly stood up and watched as Amy stumbled back to sit on the bed, I watched her as her eyes began to water; she placed her head in her hands trembling. I went to go sit next to her but she quickly got up and backed away from me.

“NO” she threatened as she stumbled on her feet before, her back was on the wall again.

“No” She said weakly, sliding down the wall to sit on the ground; she lifted her knees to her chest and placed her head on her knees. I quietly went and sat next to her and before she could protest or run away, I picked her up in my arms and held onto her tightly.

“Let me go!” She said thrashing around in my arms, hitting my chest; but I kept a strong hold. She kept thrashing in my arms and soon her movements became weak; as she broke down in Tears.

I held onto her tightly as she cried into my shoulder, I couldn’t help but feel bad and guilty. She has gone through so much… getting bitten, having to stay in the hospital, nearly suffocating to death and now she finds out I’m a Vampire and that Vampires exist. The feeling only got worse when she hugged me tightly, I still felt her wet tears on the shoulder on my shirt but I held onto her tightly all the same.

She pulled out to look at me, her eyes puffy and red. A lone tear ran down her face and I quickly wiped it away as she looked at me blankly searching my face.

“Th-thank you” Amy barely whispered to me before her head was back on my shoulder, I felt her sigh deeply in my arms and I was actually glad she was relaxing around me. I started stroking her hair lightly as she shuddered under my touch; I smiled lightly as she chuckled nervously looking up at me.

“Hey, do you remember I still have to take you out?” I said to her before she could say anything else; she smiled lightly at me.

“Yeah” She said her voice, hoarse but I could hear the amusment in her voice.  I pecked her lightly on the forehead; she was shocked at first but ended up wrapping her hands around my neck pulling me closer to her. I inhaled her scent deeply, swooning over her smell. She shuddered again as I began to kiss her tender neck where Kieran once bite her; she shuddered again as I traced my tongue over the mark. I lifted my head to look into her eyes, seeing her beautiful brown eyes looked at me with such passion and heat. I began to kiss her bite tenderly again, sucking on her bite lightly. I couldn’t help my erg and I bit down softly on her original bite mark, my mouth instantly filling with her delicious blood….
