Life is a party

These are a few of my favorite things

The next day Dash woke up to the sound of birds outside the window. When she looked out she saw they were only at HER window. "Fluttershy." Dash said knowingly. She was the only pony who could get the birds to sing at will.

Dash turned back over and saw a note at the side of her bed. "When your awake and ready for breakfast press the call button." The note read. Dash pressed the button and waited.

Before she probably would have pressed the button multiple times out of impatience but knowing she would never be as fast ment things would seem slower. That's when the nurse walked in with Dash's breakfast.

Twilight landed in front of Dash's house and stared for a moment taking in the detail. She then walked over to RD's small rainbow pond and started feeling around. When her hoof brush up against the key in question she grabbed it and walked back the the front door. She unlocked the door, opened it and walked in.

Twilight's first thought was how clean Dash's house was. She had been expecting a disaster but it was neat. Not how twilight would have done it but still cleaner then she had expected. The first thing on her list was tank.

She saw him sitting by a plate of lettuce Dash had left on the table. It was only slightly nibbled. "He must know something's wrong" she thought. When he saw her he brightened and then darkened again realizing it wasn't Rainbow. "Come on Tank, let's go to Fluttershy's.

Tank still looked blah but went over and sat by the door anyway. Next were the pictures in Dash's room. There was a couple of Dash and her parents, some of the Mane Six, and one of Dash and Fluttershy while they were in Junior Speedsters Flight Camp.

Twilight put them carefully in her saddlebag and looked at the next item on the list. A jar of liquid rainbow. As Twilight read that she thought about how Dash was almost a liquid rainbow.

She shook the thought out of her head, grabbed a jar from her saddlebag and went back out to the pond. She carefully scooped up some rainbow, making sure to get every color. She screwed the lid on and stuck the jar carefully in her saddlebag.

There was only one item left. Rainbow's Limited edition ten year anniversary signed copy of Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone.

After grabbing it from Dash's trophy case Twilight was surprised she didn't want any of her other mementos. With everything on the list checked off Twilight got Tank and left. After throwing the key back in the pond she and Tank started heading for Fluttershy's cottage.

After finishing her exercises and getting used to to wheelchair Dash was cleared. She was ready to leave too, as she needed some fresh air and a sight other than white sterilized everything. Fluttershy was in the waiting room doing none other then... waiting.

"Oh, are you all ready to go?" the yellow mare asked. "Yup." Rainbow responded as Fluttershy opened the door for Dash and the two started the walk (or in this case roll) home.
