not-so-hidden feelings

"You know I could have paid for dinner right?

Jungkook slid his golden credit card back into his wallet.

"You told me a week ago that you were having a hard time. This is the least I could do until you get paid."

The pair stood from the booth in the small coffee shop.

"I got paid yesterday y'know."

"Not as much as I do, though."

Yohan rolled his eyes, but couldn't hide his flustered smirk.

The couple stepped out into the busy mall- the location Jungkook chose to take Yohan out on a date-

"Not a date!" Jungkook said. "It's an outing. With a friend."

As much as Yohan hated to admit it, he was hurt by the obvious friendzone. Funny, seeing as they have sex way more than people who are just friends. Of course, that's the condition they agreed to when they first met. But he didn't expect this to go for so long. He didn't expect to need Jungkook as much as he did.

Jungkook didn't even notice Yohan's inner turmoil. Instead, he saw the tempting bright lights of the arcade room. He hasn't been to an arcade in so long. He's been itching to throw fireballs for a while now. And it was close to the exit and the restrooms- a last effort to get shopper's money on their way out. Jungkook couldn't refuse.

"Han," he said, "let's go in there. I want to beat you at a game."

Yohan snapped out of his thoughts. He was about to agree, but he something else caught his eye.

"Kookie, look. It's you."

Jungkook turned to the direction Yohan faced. Jungkook rolled his eyes as he spotted a small brown bunny plush sitting inside of a claw machine. Before Jungkook could even respond, Yohan dragged him over to the game.

"I'm going to win this for you," he said.

Jungkook chuckled at Yohan's naive statement.

"You know those things are money traps right? As much as I appreciate the sentiment, you don't have to show off."

Yohan already had his coin ready.

"I wouldn't doubt me if I were you."

Yohan slid the coin into the slot. The machine lit up, flashing colorful lights and making playful sounds. Yohan wasted no time, using the joystick to place the claw directly over the bunny's head.

"C'mere, little Kookie," He whispered. He pressed the flashing DROP button.
The claw lowered slowly, accompanied by a cute sound. The claw fit perfectly around the bunny's head. However, to Yohan's dismay, the claw didn't close all the way. The claw dragged the bunny a few centimeters before it slipped out of it's fingers.

"I told you." Jungkook said, "These games are imposs-"

The game started up again.

"I'm going," Yohan said, "to win this for you."

The determined look in his eyes sent shivers through Jungkook's body. He's never seen Yohan look so serious. It's a different kind of handsome. A different kind of attraction that Jungkook didn't know he felt.

His phone vibrated in his pocket, shocking Jungkook out of his thoughts.

"I-I'll be over here," He said quickly. Yohan let him go with a simple, "Don't go too far."

He dug his phone out. It was Taehyung, calling for the third time that day. Jungkook answered.

"What is it, Tae?"
