This was not supposed to happen, you agree to babysit for a friend and end up with 20 kids ranging from 16 to weeks old, a living nightmare, I'll prove it to you, let me list them for you.

Yeah Annabeth and I were in way over our heads. Most definitely. We agreed to watch Nico and Will's kids and suddenly we were bombarded. Now here we sat Annabeth trying to sooth little Nathan's cries while Pearl rocked Daxton to sleep. Or was trying too,but with twenty kids plus three adults under one roof it was noisy. They all wanted some sort of attention. Jessie was somewhat helpful but she was also going through that rebellious teen phase, so she was scary sometimes. Though at the moment she was trying to keep Nora, Jasper, Harley, Caleb and Crystal busy by making light dance in front of them, which captivated them instantly. I was playing hopscotch with Landon, Silena and Zöe. We were playing it up while Charlie talked softly with Opal in the corner and Jade dozed off in a chair and Ruby practiced her spear wielding and Aubrey watched mesmerized.
   The triplets were playing with an old bouncy ball and I was getting pretty tired.
  "Mr Percy?" Zöe tugged on my pants leg and I instantly lowered myself to her level.
   "Yes Zöe?" I asked with a smile and her deep blue, almost purple eyes bore into me, she reminded me a lot of my old friend.
   "I don't feel good." She whimpered and I frowned feeling her forehead and she did feel pretty warm.
   "Here why don't I help you lay down?" I offered and she nodded holding her hands up for me to pick her up which I obliged and Ruby raced to me a kind sparkle in her eyes.
   "I'll watch the kids you were playing with." She offered and I smiled patting her head.
   "Thanks Ruby." I expressed as I carried Zöe downstairs. Away from all the loud uproar that was going on upstairs. I gently sat the eight old on Penny's old bed and she placed a soft hand on either side of my face. 
   "Mr Percy do you know who my mommy was?" She asked her little voice is pained but laced with longing and I wish with all my heart I could give her an answer.
   "I'm sorry I don't." I Express and her hands drop from my face as she looks around the room dejectedly.
   "Daddy says I was too little to remember her. But sometimes I wish I wasn't." She whispered hopping from the bed. I follow after her distinctively. I wonder what she means and try to find the words to make it better. "Mr Percy, I just wish I was worth something." Her eyes sparkle in the darkness of the room, so I swiftly click on a side lamp.
   "You're worth everything to your dads." I try and she looks hurt by my statement.
    "We don't share blood. They're not my dads." She persisted and I was taken aback by her harsh statement.
   "Who told you that?" I ask gently and she frowns at me as if analyzing my every move.
   "My friend's mom told me." She whispered and anger filled me. I gently grabbed her shoulders looking into those deep spirited eyes of hers.
   "Blood isn't anything, it's the love behind it that counts." I whispered and she looked at me painfully.
   "Then I guess my real mom and dad didn't want me huh?" She asks softly and I shake my head bitterly.
   "No, your mom fought to get you to Artemis, so that you could live. I didn't know her personally but she loved you Zöe I know she did." I reason and she looks at her hands.
   "What about my dad?" She asks her question is soft and very broken but I nod without thinking.
   "I'm sure he does too." I reason and she sighs breaking away from my hold.
   "That's what Nico and Will say too. It's what Theo says, and Jessie. Sunny says it to. But I know it's a lie. He doesn't love me. If he did I'd have been claimed. If my mom loved me she would have named me! You're a liar just like the rest of them Mr Percy." Tears shined in her eyes as she pushed through the door and escaped up the stairs. It brought me back to a time when I had disappointed that of another little boy who asked me to watch his sister.

    I came upstairs just as Annabeth handed over Caleb, Nora and Aubrey to Lee and Pearl handed the baby to Karen. They thanked us and disappeared. Erica came for Landon and the triplets next and our house became more empty. I watched Pearl as she held Nathan in her arms a sense of sadness drifted from her but before I could question it more parents came. Until it was just Harley  and  Will and Nico's kids. Well two of his kids.
   "Where's Zöe I demanded and Theo frowned.
   "I thought she wasn't feeling good?" He questioned and I cursed as Annabeth eyed me from her spot on the couch, little Harley sleeping soundly in her arms.
  "You kids stay here I'll go check upstairs." I exclaimed just as a knock sounded on the door. Pearl looked at me fearfully before she swiftly turned and answered the door. Will husled in a smile on his lips followed by Nico. I gulped what did I say.
   "Dad we have to find Zöe!" Theo yelled latching onto Nico's hand. Nico's cold dark eyes met mine and I sighed.
   "We were watching twenty kids and she got upset and I thought she'd still be here!" I defended and Nico looked murderously at me and Will shocked.
  "Why was she upset?" He asked softly and I closes my eyes did I tell them? Would it break their hearts? "Percy you can tell us." Will promised eyes shining with worry.
    "She asked me if I knew who her mom was." I whispered and realization washed over them and Nico sighed.
    "Let's go home!" Zöe was suddenly there as she stomped past us towards the door, clearly irritated with all of us.
  "Zo." Nico warned and she reluctantly turned meeting his stern gaze. "Did you hide from Percy and Annabeth?" He asked and she looked at her shoes.
   "Zöe." Will probed when she remained silent.
    "No." She murmured looking at her shoes and Nico sighed.
   "Zöe," he started and she threw her hands up
    "Just leave me alone!" She cried tears starting to spill from her eyes. Theo went to hug her and she shoved him back angrily. "Don't touch me!" She snapped stepping back.

  I frowned at the little girl and watched as Percy whispered softly to Nico. I watched his expression darken and I strained from my spot on the couch, holding Harley's slumbering form to my chest. I stood slowly my eyes trained on that fearful little girl. I knelt in front of her kindly.
   "Will you hold Harley for me Zöe?" I asked gently and she looked skeptical but eventually nodded. So I laid Harley across her lap and walked to the adults.
   "I wish I could help her." Percy whispered looking so beaten up and Nico sighed.
   "I do too, but none of the Gods have claimed her. I don't know why." I gently placed a hand on Percy's shoulder and he kissed it softly.
   "You glowing." Harley whispered and we turned, and I smiled.
  "Well Zöe you know who your grandpa and father are now." I smiled and Zöe's eyes filled with tears.
