not giving up (rin okumara x reader)

I woke up to the sound of a crash in my room. I was able to see demons. my room was next to the large sanctuary and next to rin and yukio's rooms. I opened my eyes quickly and pulled the covers over my head. it was dark and there were no lights on. as I hid under my (fav color) comforter I felt something grab my shoulder. I closed my (e/c) eyes tightly and held my breath.

"wake up (y/n)" the voice sounded familiar. it was shiro. of course it was shiro, after all I lived with him. I lived with rin and yukio too. I never really talked to anyone so I never shared my feelings. I uncovered my head.

"what's wrong shiro?" I looked around it was still dark in my room.

"we have to go. a powerful demon is here. go with rin and yukio. they'll keep you safe." he gave a close eyed smile like he always did since we were kids.

"shiro. what's going on?" I got out of bed wearing my dark blue pants and white short sleeved shirt.

"demons (y/n)" he was still smiling. my (s/t) face went paler.

"demons?" I was starting to get scared. I never liked demons. we walked out into the sanctuary as I was pulling on shoes and a blue hoodie. I felt a my hand being grabbed. I looked over to see rin and a slight blush crept over the bridge of my nose. we were all staring at the door. some of the weakest level demons were getting in while there was pounding on the door. I jumped a little.

"hey. calm down. it's okay just relax." rin smiled at me. his voice calmed me down a little but I jumped again as the door budged slightly.

"get out of here! we can handle this!" shiro was looking at me and rin.

"but-"

"just get out of here" shiro stared at us and sighed. "rin, follow me." he led rin down a hidden staircase. I followed. "here. this is the sword that holds your demonic powers that were sealed away when you were a baby" he reached in a drawer like container that held the sword and held it out for rin. he reluctantly grabbed it. "once you unsheathe the sword you can never go back to your human self again." he gave rin a serious look.

"okay....." shiro quickly pushed us down and we fell. he closed the top of the staircase and left us down there.

"now get out of here!!" he spoke from the outside of it.

"no!! let us out!!" rin started to pound on the door. I stood back and he looked back at me.

"don't just stand there! help me!!" rin stared at me but quickly sat on the stairs. "never mind....." I sat on the ground. he started to pound harder on the door and I looked up at him. we got through after a while. when we got up the demons had got in but they were all dead.

"I told you both to leave." I let a sigh escape my lips.

"shut up ya old fart!! don't ever see me acting like you're my father again!!" I was taken back at this. I placed a hand on rin's shoulder but he shoved me away. I fell on my butt. something snapped in shiro and blue flames consumed his body. he started to laugh with a voice that was part Spiro and part someone, or something, else.

"hello son." shiro's ears had become pointed and his teeth had become fangs. rin's eyes had become a little wider. he spoke matter-of-factly. "Satan." the thing that had taken over shiro laughed again.

"yes. did you miss daddy? come with me and we can rule gahenna together. me and you" he smirked.

"I'm not going anywhere with you." rin gave an angry look.

"come on. this body's not going to last long. just like your mother." Satan smirked again. rin was take back long enough for him to shove rin into the gates of gahenna along with the non-shiro. he struggled to get out and reached out. rin grabbed the demon sword that held his demonic powers. he twisted the sword out of its sheathe and stood up. rin's ears became pointed and his teeth became fangs and he also had a tail now.

"I said I'm not going anywhere!!" he quickly shoved the sword into one of the small pillars on the gates of gahenna and it disappeared. I stood up and took a few steps to see shiro on the ground and I started crying. rin saw this too and he got teary eyed. he could only make small noises as tears ran down his cheeks. yukio stepped I the front doors of the sanctuary and saw us. "what?....." yukio walked over to us. I didn't know what to do. shiro was dead and rin had his demon powers. I ran to my room with rin trying to reach for me. I just kept running to my room, still crying.
