The Mind Of A Zombie

Silence. Darkness. Her shallow breathing filled the stale air. The moon's eerie glow outlined the rapid movement of her chest as she breathed. Shaking bony hands gripped onto the cold hard iron railing. Her round beady eyes shifted from side to side as she whacked her head off the rotting wooden wall. Over and over again, each time with more force. The voices wouldn't stop, no matter how hard she tried.

Her ragged clothes hung off her withering body. Her sharp nails clawed at her rotting flesh. The pungent smell of blood filled her snake-like nose as her nails dug deeper into her skin. The voices became louder, demanding blood to be split. Her own blood didn't satisfy the voices enough; they yearned for young, fresh, innocent blood.

She licked her cracked yellow lips as she thought, she hadn't eaten in days. She took her blood-drenched hand out of her arm and looked hungrily at the blood dripping slowly down her claw-like fingers. Grey saliva dripped off her rough bleeding tongue as it trailed over her fingers. Her blood-shot eyes lightened sadistically as the taste of blood toke over her.

Her lips stretched slowly into a malicious grin. Her eyes darkened with new found blood-lust as the need to hunt surged through her veins. She turned her head quickly, causing a sickening crack to echo throughout the gloomy room.

Her fellow hunters watched her blood drip down her rotting arm. They had smelt her blood and couldn't resist. She growled warningly at them, flashing her sharp canines in defence.

Her sharp eyes flickered quickly to the window as her fellow hunters backed off. The sun had finally gone down, and had taken the warmth of the world with it. It was night time. Their time.

A hideous smile stretched across her lips. Her yellow leather-like skin cracked as old wounds reopened. Puss and blood ran down her cheeks and over her lips as yellow spots burst open. Her tongue ran over her lips, licking up the blood and puss.

It was hunting time.
