The night air was cold, just like her soul. The moon glowed brightly in the distance as they began to crawl over buildings and abandoned cars. Screeches echoed through the night, warning any living thing they were coming. They wanted them to know. They wanted them to run. They wanted to hunt them down.

The now female creature ran through the streets unsteadily. She had several broken bones and deep gashes from previous prey she had caught. Most of them had weapons, but now and again she would come across a lone piece of meat that had nothing to protect themselves with. They were easy prey. She hated easy prey.

Her sharp sense of smell picked up a rather inviting scent. Blood. Her eyes glowed hungrily as adrenaline began to pump through her veins. Eerie screeches and screams surrounded her. Her lips stretched into a tight psychotic smile. Her fellow hunters could smell the blood too.

She let out a low growl, telling the pack it was time to hunt. She jumped down carelessly landing with an almighty thump. The sickening sound of bone snapping filled the air, exciting her fellow hunters more. They didn't feel pain. Pain was a weakness, and they didn't have one.

The moon's shine bounced off the nearby windows, showing their inhuman reflections in the mirror as they began to shuffle quietly towards their target. The light bouncing off the mirror caught her attention as she crawled along the floor. Her beady eyes took in the sight of her own reflection with anger. What was another one of them doing here? This was her territory. She let out a howl of fury as she charged at the mirror, her bloody nails outstretched ready to cut deep into her enemy's skin.

Her head collided strongly with the window, causing it to crack. A deep snarl escaped her rotting mouth as she looked at the figure standing before her. She swiped her sharp nails again, causing a high-pitched squeaking sound to be produced as she clawed viciously at her reflection.

She stepped away confused. The figure did the same. She barked in annoyance. It did the same. Her eyes narrowed as she moved her hand slowly in a circle. The reflection also did the same. A flash of recognition swept through her eyes quickly. She pressed a yellow bony hand against the window, what was it?

FLASHBACK

A fourteen year old girl stood in front of the shop window, admiring the expensive clothes inside. "Look at all these clothes Marie!" She said excitedly to a blonde haired girl standing next to her. "They're all so nice and fancy!" Marie giggled quietly at her friend's enthusiasm. "Yeah, they all look pretty sweet don't they? Too bad there so expensive." She replied, disappointment laced in her voice. "Hmm." The girl mumbled as Marie ran off at the sight of a cute puppy sitting inside a pet shop. The girl pressed her warm hand against the cold glass as she looked at her reflection, imagining the clothes on her. They proberly wouldn't suit me she thought as she looked at the articles of clothing. Her big chocolate brown eyes flickered up to her face as she smiled warmly at her reflection. "Mia! Come look at this cute little thing!" Marie shouted as she stared at the sleeping puppy. "Coming!" Mia called as she took her hand off the glass and took one last look at the sop before running off towards Marie.

END OF FLASHBACK

She growled as she punched the glass with enough force to break the window. She clenched her fist as blood trickled down her hand from her bleeding knuckles. She lifted her knuckled to her cracked lips as her grey tongue rolled out and slowly licked up the fresh blood. Her eyes darkened with blood-lust as she remembered her hunt. She scampered off quickly in search of her prey, memory forgotten.
