The blond boy sits his head out of the door. Good. There is no one in sight. He opens the door fully and starts walking over to the stairs. He almost stops by Emily’s room, but he knows that she probably isn’t in there. He doesn’t really know, but he doesn’t think that she is. Hopefully these walls are thick, and she didn’t pass his room like he is doing to her’s right now. Now, he’s not sure what to feel about it all. He feels different. He is different. It’s not his fault, but he can’t change what he’s become. You know when you act nice for no reason whatsoever? Well, it’s like that. He doesn’t have any control. He just hopes that no one heard him or anything because that would make them talk to him or look at him differently. They are all treating him differently as it is. It doesn’t want it to get any worse. It’s annoying as it is.

Knowing that everyone is upstairs, Niall goes down. Of course it isn’t just because he doesn’t want to be around them. No, he wants to get something to drink. The kitchen is downstairs obviously. The lone singer makes his way down the stairs and then into the kitchen. The room doesn’t have a lot of color. Green and brown are really the only ones. The green comes from the few plants in there for decoration, and the light brown comes from the wood. The rest of the kitchen is made up of white, black, and varies grays. It’s also modern looking, but the blond doesn’t really dwell on the image before him. He wants a drink, and that’s the only reason why he came down here.

Niall goes over and opens the fridge. There is pop, water, and... That will do nicely. The Irish boy takes the bottle out of the icy chamber, opens it and takes a swig. He could care less that the owners of the house are American. He can’t stand their age limit and could care less right now. With the drink in hand, he starts to head towards the stairs, but a noise stops him. It isn’t just a noise. It’s someone knocking on the door. The blond doesn’t hear anyone coming down the stairs, and he feels part of his nice self pushing itself through his current self. Although he really doesn’t want to talk to anyone, he finds himself going over to the door and opening it.

Outside are two guys about his age. One of them has a very big smile on his face. He has shaggy brown hair and hazel eyes that look way too happy for the blond’s liking. Niall also notices how skinny he is. His skinny jeans make it look like he has chicken legs or something like that. Now the other guy looks like he doesn’t really want to be there. His hair is like coal, his eyes are like bark, and he looks fit.

Niall doesn’t like him one bit.

“Hello,” the grinning boy says. “I’m Stellan, and I’m Claire’s boyfriend. She said that I can come over.”

Niall doesn’t really know if he should let him in or not. He could be lying since the blond hasn’t listened to a word that that girl has said since he got there. He figures that it’s alright and is about to choose to let them in, but he doesn’t have to because that said girl rushes down the stairs and over to them. The blond gets out of her way and notices that Emily and Liam are coming down as well. He notices how they seem to be walking right next to eachother. They seem to be getting along well.

Niall doesn’t like it one bit.

“I’m so glad that you’re here,” Claire says as she takes her boyfriends hand and pulls him inside. He notices the other guy. “Oh, you must be Jake. Stellan told me a lot about you.”

Jake gives her a smile and goes back to focusing on something else. Niall’s blue eyes follow his line of sight to find that he’s looking at the delicate brunette. His blue eyes go back to the black-haired guy’s face. The blond notices the way that his eyes seem to light up and his once slightly bored and annoyed expression becomes a little smirk.

Niall really doesn’t like that at all.

“Hi, I’m Emily,” the kind girl says as she goes over to shake their hands.
