Emily can’t believe how well she’s doing. It’s been a week, and she’s been around the blond very little, and the only times that she is, she’s with someone else. It’s hard to believe that her plan is coming along nicely. She thought that it would only last two days at the most, but here she is without the blond around her. She’s pretty proud of herself. There is just one thing that crosses her mind in a negative sort of way.

Although she hasn’t been around Niall all that much, she can tell that he’s getting worse. There are bags underneath his eyes, and he’s getting aggravated at everything. It isn’t even just the guys annoying him. He gets upset just by accidentally bumping his arm against something. He acts like it did it on purpose even though that’s impossible. He’s also becoming more observant too. Claire was just talking to her the other day that that is a symptom of PTSD.

The brunette feels like it’s partly her fault. She’s not sure why, but she has been avoiding him, and she knows that there has been a few times when he approached her. Maybe he does want to talk about the kiss to get it off his chest, and she’s not giving him the chance. Maybe he’s getting even madder because she’s avoiding him. Now, she can’t be sure on this, but the thoughts keep making their way into her head. She’s wrote it in her diary a couple of times which does seems a little bit too much, but she truly can not stop thinking about him. It must have to do with that writing spark that she had. Yes, that has to be it.

“Earth to Emily,” Claire says as she waves her hand in front of her friend’s face.

Emily shakes her head as she gets rid of the thoughts in order to focus on the blue-eyed girl. “I’m back. What is it?”

“Well,” Claire starts as she looks over at the guys, excluding Niall, who are all sitting around. They were all watching TV and talking while Emily went into her head. “The guys and I were thinking about going swimming.”

“Isn’t it too late for that?”

Claire chuckles. “Time doesn’t fly that fast. No, we still have plenty of time to go swimming.”

“Speaking of swimming,” Liam says, “I noticed that you guys have a pool and hot tub out back. Why aren’t we swimming in that? It’s less of a walk.”

“I like the ocean, but we can swim in the pool instead. It’s easier for pool stuff. I have some pool accessories that we can inflate and start using.” They all nod their head in agreement. “Well, it looks like we have some inflating to do. Let’s go!”

The group all change and then go out to start inflating the different things that Claire has for the pool. The size of it is enormous, and the selection is just as big. There are chairs, hoops, a wet for volleyball, and slides. They each grab something that they would like to use in the pool and get to work. After discovering that she has machines that can do the job for them, Harry and Louis set those up and go right into the pool while the others blow and use hand pumps for the smaller things. They start splashing, and Claire can’t help herself. She jumps in and joins the fun. Zayn gives up and gets into the shallow side with a pool noodle just incase he has to go over to the other side.

“Are we stuck pumping now?” Liam asks them all as he motions towards Emily and himself.

“Pretty much,” Claire laughs as she splashes Harry back.

Emily smiles at them all, but then she remembers that she doesn’t have her notebook on her. She left it on the table inside. Now, normally it would be weird to just carry a notebook with you, but Emily has been having a lot of ideas lately. It’s a lot more than what she is used to, so she’s been making sure that she has something with her at all times just in case.
