Kuprum always wanted to be the power source for any flying machine. Vikare just wanted to fly but never to hurt a friend.
The option was indeed there. Vikare just didn't feel okay about it. The two were pretty close so Kuprum was often at Vikares. A new prototype was being completed around this time in the story. "Please let me power this thing?" without moving from his work "no." that's usually how it went and Kup didn't feel like arguing so he went quiet. It is silent aside from the sound of Vik working and the occasional swear when something goes wrong.
The quiet lasts an hour or more when Kuprum pipes up. "You know you really are something. It's a shame you are always deep inside one of these things. People should see your face more!" Vikare slides out from under, giving Kup a questioning look. "Sweet talking wont get you anywhere in this." Kup smiles at this and rests his chin on the palm of his hand. "But i know that already. I was just pointing it out because i wanna see you more. Yeah, i am always here but you don't cuddle me or anything." this was true, Vikare was normally engrossed in mechanicing and forgot to give attention to his matesprite. He sits up and wipes off his hands, some still on his face and arms. "I'm sorry about that baby. I can change that right now." Vikare scoops up his matesprite and head up the steps. onto the roof they go, Kuprum cradled in Viks arms. They hold together closely for the night air was a bit chilly. It really had been a while since they were this close so the feeling of Kuprums pulse made him blush. "Kuppy, i remember the first time i held you like this. I feel like i did then, the moment i knew my feelings for you were serious. I would and will always be flushed for you." Kuprum looks up and smiles wide. "I really have no words ehe i'm so flushed you always seem to take the words from me." with the slight overcast the stars still shown though, highlighting their features in the otherwise deep black night. Vikare leans down and kisses the other sweetly then lays back to sleep.
