She followed the rise and fall of his chest, her head laying against his bare skin as he held her. His thumb drew soothing circles across her neck, their chained hands resting in between them.

Stevie sniffled, Lindsey holding her just a tad tighter. "What's on your mind Angel?"

"What we would have named them."

A sad smile appeared on his face, kissing the top of her head. "Didn't you have a name picked?"

"Emmaline."

"That would have been a beautiful name Steph."

She nodded against his skin, scooting closer. "You know, sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't miscarried, if we would still be together, be happy."

"I wonder that too Angel, all the time."

Stevie felt tears pricking her eyes once more, taking a deep breath. "I don't want to talk about it anymore."

Lindsey nodded against her head, kissing her hair. His hand soothing up and down her bare skin. His hands started roaming, Stevie feeling his touch become more intimate. She titled her head towards his, her eyes looking up at him in question.

"Linds?"

"I want you Stevie." He hovered over her, pulling at the sheet that covered her. His mouth descended against her neck. She gasped when he found that sensitive spot, her toes curling. "Baby please don't deny me."

He pulled away, seeing the tears in her eyes and frowning. "Angel what's the matter?"

She shook her head, closing her eyes to escape his concerned gaze. "This is wrong."

"Stevie how many times do I have to tell you, there is nothing wrong when it comes to us."

Her eyes opened, tears trailing down her pale skin. "That's just it Lindsey, there is no us."

Lindsey shook his head, cupping her face with his free hand. "I love you so much, every time I look at you all I see is our past, and what could have been. You haunt me in my dreams Stevie."

         "You have a wife."

He gritted his teeth, shaking his head.

   "What's wrong?" She asked.

   "We're getting divorced."

She felt as if she were going to be sick, pushing at his chest. "Get off of me."

He did as told, trying to pull her close but she held him away.

"What the hell do you mean you're getting divorced?"

"The papers were filed months ago."

He didn't expect what happened next, shielding himself as her free hand smacked at him repeatedly. "Stevie!"

"You asshole! Why wouldn't you tell me!"  She continued to smack him. He quickly grabbed her wrists, using his body weight to push her back, pinning her down on the bed. She thrashed underneath him, Lindsey tightening his grip on her wrists.

    "Would you calm down!"

She unwillingly did as told, glaring up at him. "What happened?"

"Nothing for you to worry about."

   "Lindsey!"

"She cheated on me!" He barked out, tearing himself off of her. She still remained laying down, starring up at the ceiling. She shook herself out of her shock, sitting up. She held the covers against her bare chest and hesitantly reached out, placing a hand on his shoulder.
