Chapter 3: seizing oppurtunities

Tessa POV

Me and bry return to the party after eating our body weight in food, we turn into the driveway to find Kian kneeling on the grass behind the wall looking completely clueless yet may I also add pretty cute too.

B: you good kian?

K: I'm just taking a break

Me and bry both laugh, his speech is so slurred and who knew Kian would want a break from his own party.

T: what ya doing?

K: I think I'm stargazing, care to join?

B: I'm going back inside, T?

T: I think I might stay out here

As I say that bry winks at me then leaves. I turn to kian who's now sat with his legs outstretched in front of him and his back against the wall. He looks up at me a gestures for me to sit next to him.

Kian POV
Tess joins me in staring at the stars.

K: makes you realise how small you are right?

T: i don't like to think of ourselves as small, yes in physical comparisons we are tiny not even that more minute compared to the universe, but in reality we could be as big as we wished to be. We all have the potential to shine as bright as those stars and to dream as big as we did as a child or even be known by masses. It's just how you go about it, you can't miss out on those opportunities, you have to take them for if you don't someone else must certainly will and those dreams may be as distant as those stars are.

Wow, I wasn't expecting that in response, I may not fully remember what she said in the morning due to the influence of alcohol but from what I know now she does amaze me. How is an 18 year old so full of wisdom and empowerment.

It is at this point when I realise Tessa is looking at me with concern probably because I'm staring into her deep brown eyes.

T: I'm sorry fo-

I cut her off by grabbing the back of her neck and smashing my lips into hers. The kiss lasted for about 30 seconds. The best part is she kissed back almost instantly. I then pulled away revealing a smile spread across her face.

K: you have to seize those opportunities right ?
