It had been almost a full year since Corrin was faced with the toughest decision of their life.

Should they conquer Hoshido with their "family" in Nohr, or defend Hoshido with their birth family?

Corrin's mind was racing while both sides were roaring at each other. Corrin couldn't stand seeing their families being torn apart, just for them.

While the two sides were clashing, Corrin started to flee, tears forming in their eyes.

Elise noticed that they were running, and she yelled "Everyone! They're trying to flee!" Both parties glanced in horror as Corrin was running into a deeply wooded area.

"No! Corrin!" Ryoma howled, running to catch up with them. Hinoka and Sakura followed behind him, both crying for their sibling.

Before chasing after them, Takumi looked at the Nohrians with a disgusted look. "This is all because of you. Without you scum," he emphasized, "we could live our lives out peacefully. They are related to us by blood!" He screamed. Small and barely noticeable tears started to form in his eyes full of hatred.

The glare seemed to pierce Leo through the heart. He had always found the Hoshidan secretly attractive, but never dared to tell another soul. These words hurt him more than any wound.

"..Why... Why must you ruin our lives?!" Takumi's tears became noticeable enough for Leo to see, and he felt a pang of sadness for the broken man. It seemed that Takumi saw the look Leo was giving him, and left with a mumbled "I'll kill all of you slowly and painfully one day. Nohrian scum like you deserve to die by my hands."

He shook away the tears and followed his siblings. It seemed that everyone was dazed by Takumi's speech, Leo especially.

'I knew I could never dream of being with him, let alone being friends. Why did it have to end up this way..?' He thought to himself, looking down with a gloomy and distant expression.

He was brought back by Xander barking orders. "Father instructed us to come back with Corrin, so lets ride! We are mounted while they are on foot. We have the clear advantage!" He announced, sounding hopeful.

Passing up the Hoshidans was easy. When they rode past them, Takumi screamed in rage, while Hinoka, Sakura and Ryoma stared in bewilderment. Elise decided to make faces at them, which made Camilla giggle like a young child.

They searched the forest the entire day. They found no trace of Corrin in the dense forest. Elise thought she found something, but later realized she had only found Xander's footsteps and burst out laughing.

Xander decided it was time to stop at sunset. All tired and upset, the Nohrians started the travel back to Castle Krakenburg.

After Corrin fled, King Garon privately gave his youngest son a fraction of his troops. He told Leo to control and defend all forts and castles near the coast south of Castle Krakenburg. Now, Leo grew bored of his position. Basically, he told people where to go and sometimes if he was lucky, helped 'solve' problems.

Yet today, he received interesting news.

A young scout hurriedly ran to his chamber, claiming she had great news to tell the Prince.

"Prince Leo! Prince Leo! I have news from a small camp near the border!" She excitedly shouted, bouncing with eyes glowing with joy.

"..go on."

"Many claim that they have seen the youngest Hoshidan Prince hiding on the edge of our land! See? See?!" She frantically handed him the papers, which he read silently to himself.

'..Was the prince really here? No.. He couldn't be.. Why would he be in Nohr?'

"Are you sure this is accurate?" He said, looking up quizzically at the young girl.

"Yep!! Once, I think I even saw a fire in the distance, but to fight them we would need backup. So they told me..." She rambled off, seeming to calm herself doing so.

"So..?"

"You may leave. Thank you." He patted her on the head, which she seemed to enjoy, bouncing off.

"Niles!" He called with an unusual excited tone.

"Yes Milord." The sly archer slinked into the room with his cocky smirk.

He seemed slightly surprised by Leo's ecstatic tone.

"So, what shall it be today, milord?" Niles chuckled to himself as his smirk grew into a smile, seeming to know what Leo will say next.

It seemed Niles' smile was contagious, as Leo now had a smirk of his own.

"Call for Odin. Rally the troops. Today, we capture Hoshidan royalty."
