Mumbling, Takumi nodded. He was in no condition to fight. He would have to wait for the perfect moment to strike.

Being pulled roughly by chains was literal hell. All the jerking and unnecessary tugging was really tiring, not to mention the weight and tightness. Xander forced Takumi to wear a blindfold while walking, probably so he couldn't memorize the paths of the castle.

They finally made their way to the outside world, yet Takumi was surprised not to be greeted by a loving and warm sun.

Xander finally removed the blindfold and led Takumi to a caravan-like structure tied to two horses. When they entered the structure, The Hoshidan realized with despair that it was almost exactly like his cell in the castle, yet more confined and no objects.

Xander briskly tied Takumi's chains to the wall, then walked out and coldly slammed the door shut without looking back.

It seemed like hours before they began to ride to the capital. The ride was bumpy and uncomfortable, for Xander had tied the chains so tight the young prince could barely move.

"Guess this is how I spend my last days." Takumi thought, then sighed and tried to rest.

Leo didn't like the idea of bringing Takumi to the capital. Xander had come by once he heard that Hoshidan royalty was captures by his own brother. Xander, overcome with pride, told Leo he should show their father and have a feast to celebrate.

Leo only captured Takumi because he loved the Hosidan, but bringing him to the capital meant that Garon would most likely order the prince to be hung. Leo tried to argue with his older brother, yet his plan was unchanged.

So now here he is, bringing the love of his life to certain death. Leo and Xander decided to ride the horses carrying Takumi's caravan, "just in case" as Xander had said.

While riding, Leo tried negotiating with Xander. "So.. is Father going to kill him?" Leo asked, trying to hide his sadness.

Xander had picked up on this, and only responded with an unspecific "Maybe." and looked away.

"...Do we have to kill him?" Leo meekly responded, knowing Xander would yell at him for giving mercy to a Hoshidan.

"Listen." Xander said suddenly with a stoic tone.

"I know about your little crush on the prince. I understand. But a Nohrian's honor comes before anything else. We must bring him to Garon. He could have useful information, information that could help us win this war."

"Good luck making him talk." Leo chuckled quietly in a sassy tone.

"Excuse me?" Xander flipped his head around, raising his voice. "We can make anyone talk! We made that one priestess talk, and thats how we found him! Do you think I wanted to kill her?" Xander snapped, frustration and grief overtaking him.

Silence swept over them, drowning everyone's thoughts. Finally, Leo looked up sadly at Xander, who went from a stoic strong man to a quiet sympathetic child in no time. "Xander.. its ok..." Leo said, trying to comfort his brother.

"..No, its not. She was innocent. She had never killed a soul.. The fear in her eyes..." Xander's voice trembled, recalling the events. "Go spend time with Takumi while you can. I promise, I will not see another Hoshidan die."

"..Thank you." Leo said, stopping their horses and hugging his older brother tightly.

Opening up the caravan, Leo was surprised to find the Hoshidan sobbing on the floor.

"S-..Sakura..." He coughed, letting the sadness overcome him as he called for his sister. The prince must have heard Xander yelling about the priestess he was forced to kill, and pieced it together.

Slowly, Leo approached Takumi and sat next to him. He lightly grasped the prince's hand and looked him solemnly in his teary eyes. "I will not allow you to die. Not today, not ever. I'm sorry about your sister, I really am. But she wanted peace. She didn't want this war, and neither do I. Please believe me when I say, I will never allow anything to happen to you." Leo said, bringing Takumi in for a warm hug.

Takumi actually hugged back, sobbing into Leo's shoulder.

"Leo.." He moaned quietly into Leo's shoulder, tightening their hug.

"I... need you.."
