"Neil! What childishness is this?"
"Avni, just give me two more minutes and we will reach!"
"Where are we going?"
"Do you understand the meaning of surprise?"
"Achha, teek hein. I'll keep quiet!"
Neil finally removed her blindfold when the reached a helicopter.
Avni jumped in happiness and hugged Neil, "Neil! You know it was my dream to ride a helicopter, right?"
Neil hugged Avni back, "Any doubt?"
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!", Avni chirped in happiness.
Neil shook his head in disbelief and took Avni's hand and guided her.
Once they were sitting in the helicopter, Avni turned to Neil and started chattering excitedly, "Neil, you know I always dreamt of riding a helicopter but I never thought I would ever realise my dream! Thank you!"
Neil smiled and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, "From now on, tell me about all your dreams and I will make them true!"
Avni looked at him confused, "But why? Why will you take the trouble of doing that?"
Neil smiled and whispered, "You'll know soon!"
The helicopter landed and Neil got down and guided Avni down. They walked to a place where many children were standing.
Avni looked at them and smiled while one small girl came up to Avni and handed her a rose, "Happy Birthday Di!"
Avni accepted the rose with a sweet smile and thanked the girl. The small girl walked away and a little boy came and gave Avni a cute birthday card. Avni took the card and looked around for Neil who was nowhere to be found.
Then, suddenly a voice called out her name and she turned to find Neil walking towards her. She ran to Neil and hugged him tightly, whispering a thank you.
Neil hugged her back and whispered, "Happy Birthday to the most precious person in my life!"
Avni looked around and by the time she looked back at Neil who was kneeling down before her with a small box in his hand, "Avni, I want to tell you that I love you. I've loved you since a very long time but I never had the courage to tell you. You've always been my strength, always supported me in all my decisions and always been there for me as a pillar of strength and support in my difficult times. You have many shades to you, strong, emotional, caring, generous, weak and honestly, I have fallen in love with all the shades. Today, is your birthday, the most important day of your life and I wanted to ask you to make the most important decision of your life today. Miss Avni Aisha, will you become Mrs Avni Neil Khanna? Will you hold my hand throughout your life? Will you allow me to make all your dreams a reality? Will you be a mother to our children? Will you grow old with me?"
Avni smiled widely with tears in her eyes and bent down to Neil and hugged him whispering a yes. Neil hugged her back and caressed her hair.
They broke this hug and Neil slipped a ring onto her ring finger, "I love you!"
Avni slipped her hand into Neil's hand, "I love you too!"
