Chapter 01

'Real relationships have some fights, tears, pain, arguments, and jealousy, BUT to make them work they MUST have more faith, trust, patience, love, laughter AND two people wanting to be together no matter what.'
-Rahul Singh

"I can swear, I can joke, I say what's on my mind, if I dri-" I reach for my phone to turn off this annoying sound, and switch my alarm off.

The brightness is way too high for my liking, so it takes a few seconds for my hazel-coloured eyes to adjust and get used to.

When this song first came out, I was so addicted to it, because basically, it represents me!

I check the time- half past six. Good, I have enough time. I have to be in school by half past seven and I can't be late.

It's the first day of my last year in this hell-hole, senior year.

I slowly sit up, losing my bed's comfort as I stand up and go to the bathroom. I have my own bathroom, which is nothing fancy, just the necessities.

I use my favorite toothpaste, mint and strawberry, to brush my teeth. Up and down. Left and right.

Undressing from my pyjamas that are screaming and begging me to stay in their comfort and sleep the whole day. I can't though, it's my first day of school!

Doing my usual routine in the shower cabin; washing my hair and body, pretending to be the world's most famous celebrity and just imagining that all the water that's hitting my head right now is a waterfall.

I bet every single person out there has done that. It's just something you can't resist not thinking about while all this water is flowing down from the top of your head to your feet.

I carefully get out of the shower and advance towards my room.

I open my underwear drawer and pick a matching panty and bra; in the colour magenta.

After wearing them, I go to my dresser to choose my outfit for the day. I select a black flowy skirt and a half sleeve yellow shirt that I tuck into the skirt which has the following words printed on it;
'A Sass a Day Keeps the Basics Away' in black.

If you haven't realized yet, black is my favorite colour.

I'm going for my black and white strapped vans, as my shoes for the day. I need to get cosy and comfy for the terrible day ahead...

I always try to keep it cosy, cute and comfy.

I brush my strawberry blonde hair into a bun, leaving a strand of hair on each side to 'frame my face'- that's what the lady said on the television. I try my best to follow what they say.

Saying it was easy and didn't take much time to brush my hair would be an understatement because I don't have curly hair, I basically just have a few waves towards the end of my hair.

Which is nice but then I see other girls around me with beautiful curly hair. Yes, they do complain about it all the time. Yes, it's hard to work with and needs effort, but the ending result is stunning!
