A shark swam into my room last night
At first, it was a scary sight
But then he told me that it was alright
He said he didn't bite
I stroked his head
And his mouth
His sharp teeth
Daring to bite my hand
But instead, he swam south
My walls sunk beneath the sand
And I followed him
To the sea, where we stayed
In a world far away
From the wars of today
Away from the demons
That drowned in the water
Last night
But I drowned too
And woke up in a world of blue
Where sharks bite
And demons swim
Maybe someday I will go back there
And escape to a dream from my nightmare
