Drunken Idiot

"EvVvErrRLllyyy, I'm druuunk!" Is what I was greeted by when I opened my door at 2:30 a.m. By a drunk ass idiot that I call my best friend. His girlfriend was holding him as much as her small frame could and her eyes begged for help. She was also clearly pissed off about something, but that was none of my business.
I looked at my dumb ass best friend who was jolly and drunk and looked like he'd puke at any minute. I grabbed him from under his arm and with the assistance of his girlfriend we safely got him to the couch. She sat by him and he tried to make passes at her, but she clearly was not having it. I got him some water, grabbed the "puke bucket" from the bathroom and some towels. I knew it was going to be a long morning. He passed out on the couch by the time I had grabbed all the supplies and his girlfriend stood up and walked up to me. She was still pissed. The words that exited her mouth at that moment hit me like a rock.
"Everly, tell him when he wakes up that we're through. I'm done taking care of his drunk ass all the time."
She really meant it. She started to walk out the door and I knew I had to say something. So in desperation, I grabbed her arm only for her to full swing and punch me in the face. I felt my face and it didn't seem to be bleeding but there was definitely going to be a bruise. She then stomped out. I knew she didn't mean to take it out on me so I let her go and set up the couch for Ace's puke. Ace started to toss and turn in his sleep and I knew that I needed to be there for him when he woke up, so I just relaxed in my dad's recliner and waited while catching up on Snapchat on my phone. Around 3 a.m, Ace woke up and was still clearly intoxicated. He started mumbling and he looked around until his eyes finally set on me and he lit up like a Christmas tree.
"E-Eveerrrlyy!!!" He yelled.
I jolted out of the seat and ran to him.
"Shhhhh, I have neighbors dumbass." I whispered to him.
"Dumb ass isn't a nice thing to call people." He pouted while whispering. Looking like a mad child that was just told no. He was sat up at this point and pulled me into a hug. I tried to move, but his grip was tight.
"Everly, I love you."
My heart jumped, but I knew what he meant. He loved me as a friend. Nothing else.
"Where's Jenny?" He asked.
I dreaded everything at this moment and I knew I couldn't tell him while he was drunk or it would end very, very bad.
"She's outside, she'll be back in a minute. She needs to call for a ride home."
I don't know when I became a good lier, but it had to be done. He looked so excited for her to come back in. I knew at this point that he was over the hill drunk, because he is never this excited unless it's a football game or you know... he's about to get laid.
After a while he started to get impatient and laid down and went back to sleep. I went outside and looked up at the stars and started to sing all of the Disney songs I could think of. I was obviously tired, but I knew that if I went to sleep and Ace woke up that some bad things could happen. There had been times that I found Ace naked sleeping on top of my table! My poor, poor table. Or the time I found him in the dog bed with Layla surrounded by pizza leftovers. There was also a time when he thought Layla was a pony and started asking me if He could ride her and asked why my pony was so fluffy.
As long I was recalling all of Ace's drunk moments with me, he opened the door. When I turned around he looked like he was about to fall over.
"JENNNYYYYY!!!" He yelled.
He looked down at me.
"Jenny??" He asked questionably.
I just stayed silent, because I wanted to know what he was going to say to Jenny.
"Jenny, I lovveeee you." He slurred as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I tried to pull back, but being a quarter back he's ten times stronger than me. I am not that strong so my pushing was nothing to him. I still hadn't said anything because I had hoped he'd realize by now I'm not Jenny. Also I had never been held like this by anyone and it puzzled me.
He let up his arms on me only to swoop down and kiss me! He smelled like a bar, and his lips were chapped. He is NOT a good kisser when he's drunk. Not that I have ever been kissed before... So therefore Ace, my best friend, was my first kiss. Oh god, how am I going to tell him that Jenny cut it off with him?!?!
