I didn't give him any response when he tried to make out with me, I tried to push him away but he only seemed to hold me closer and try to kiss me more. Eventually he stopped, looked at me with sad eyes and asked the question that broke my heart.
"Jenny do you love me?"
I didn't know what to say and but I knew a mad drunk is not what I needed right now, what I needed is to go cry in my bed about how Ace took my first kiss while loving another girl. So I did the logical thing. I told him what would break my heart.
"Jenny loves you."
I tried to hold in the tears and I looked down at the floor. Luckily he let go, what he said was either going to kill me or relieve me.
"Jenny, I'm going to bed. Goodnight." I could see through my glossy eyes that he was happy with my response. He went clumsily went back inside occasionally almost tripping and laid back down on the couch. I went to the recliner, still committed to my best friend duties and cried. My best friend was going to be in real pain when he woke up, the question was I going to tell him that he mistaken me for Jenny. One thing was for sure, he had to know that Jenny and him were over.

11 a.m is when he finally woke up. He had slept for the rest of the night. My parents had came in with Layla early that morning, around 8 and seen him lying on the couch. They weren't surprised. They knew I was always taking care of him, they knew there was nothing they could do to stop me. They left again soon after saying that they had an assignment in New Mexico and had to rush, but wanted to stop by and give Layla back to me. Layla sometimes went on the assignments with them when I didn't have the time to take care of her. My parents never really told me what they do I just know they travel a lot and they always come home safe. It's always been suspicious to me, but we lived in a nice house and everything was paid for so I never asked questions and they only started last year so I figure everything is okay.
Ace was wobbling around holding his head when Layla barked and Ace fell to his knees. He was definitely hung over. I just burst out laughing. He glared at me and I handed him some water. He got up and sat at our

dinning table. Layla just sat right next to me wanting her head rubbed and I did as she wanted.
Ace luckily hadn't thrown up so there wasn't any real cleaning to do and I had stayed silent, mostly because the dumb ass was hung over. But there was also the fact that he kissed me and I had to tell him that him and Jenny are over which wasn't going to be a pleasant conversation.
Ace drank his water and squinted at the brightness of my house.
"Can't you turn the brightness down in your house? It's hurting my head."
I looked at him and He truly is an idiot and I made sure he knew it.
"Yeah let me just replace lightbulbs real quick won't be a problem Mr. Collins." I said sarcastically.
In response he just glared at me. I knew what he meant. I was just mad at him. I got up and close the blinds and gave him my extra big black hoodie that I stole from him last year at a football game that he forced me to go see. He didn't seem to notice and just put it on.
"What happened last night?" He groaned as he held his head.
"Jenny broke up with you is what happened."
I ripped it off like a bandaid. He first looked confused, then upset, and then confused again. And he has this dumb habit of talking to himself while others are around so he started talking to himself.
"But she kissed me last night and told me she loved me... why would she lie to me?"
He was so lost, he couldn't see where he went wrong. I felt bad for him, but I also could keep the blush from rising from my skin when he mentioned the kiss and I felt flustered. I had never really felt this way before. After he stopped ranting to himself, he turned to me again and noticed my deep blush.
"Hey.. are you okay? You don't have a fever do you?" He truly looked concerned but I couldn't help the words from coming to my head.
You. Ducking. Idiot.
But I had to play it as if I was okay and nothing happened last night.
"A-Ace, I'm okay. I'm going to go step outside real quick though."
I know, I'm reeallll smooth. That's when it was decided I needed to call Emma.
