The story starts at regionals in season 4 and goes into season 6.
Noah and Amanda are sitting at a table at regionals slightly before the trio round. Amanda, Amy and Michelle soon need to perform their trio. Amanda's phone starts ringing. "Who is it?" Noah asks her. Amanda picks up her phone and checks whos calling her. "Giselle!?" Amanda says surprised because Giselle hasn't called since she's been on tour. Amanda answers her phone.
"Hey!" Amanda says. "Hey Amanda, I have some exciting news for you!" Giselle eagerly tells Amanda. "Really, what is it?" Amanda excitedly says. "When you auditioned for the tour you were so close to getting it, so the manager asked me to call you to offer you a spot on the tour!" "Oh my god really, when does it start?" Amanda asks. "That's the thing if you want to take the spot you need to leave right before the regionals finals." Amanda's facial expression changes from happy to confused. Noah interview: "When I see Amanda's facial expression change I know not everything Giselle is saying is good." "Ok, I'll have to think about it." Amanda tells Giselle. Amanda interview: "I have no idea what I'm going to do with that offer from Giselle, I'm so confused." "Ok, but I do need to know by the end of the day tomorrow." Giselle says. "Ok is that all?" Amanda asks. "Yeah, bye!" Giselle says. "Bye!" Amanda finally says confused on what to do. Amanda ends the call and puts her phone down.
"So, what did she say? Noah asks Amanda. Amanda grabs Noah's hands preparing herself to tell Noah what Giselle just told her. "Noah I have an opportunity to leave The Next Step and join a world dance tour, but I'll need to leave regionals right before the finals. What should I do? Amanda looks at Noah confused on what to do. Noah interview: "The thought of Amanda leaving is terrifying, but I need to put those thoughts aside for her." "Look you wanted the spot on the tour earlier this year, go live your dream and be happy." Noah positively tells Amanda. "But I can't just leave the team like that, right before the finals. With Alfie gone and Sloane disqualified we only have 10 dancers left." Amanda worriedly says. "Amanda this is your opportunity to be a professional dancer, the team should be proud of this accomplishment." "What about us, Noah? We've been through so much this year and I don't want to give it up." Amanda says. "Amanda this is your dream, don't make your decision on me make it for you." "Thanks, Noah." Amanda smiles. "So are you gonna take the job?" Noah asks. "I don't know yet, I'm still so confused." "Well, whatever you decide I'm gonna support you." "Thank you." Amanda interview: "I don't know what I'm going to do, but knowing Noah's behind me makes this decision a little easier."

Half an hour later...
The team is backstage waiting for the trio to go on. "Will The Next Step please take the stage." The announcer says. Riley interview: "It's time for the trio to perform, and I'm extremely nervous because if The Next Step loses we're out of regionals." Noah hugs Amanda right before they go onstage. Amy, Amanda and Michelle enter the stage. The music starts and they perform their routine to "Elevator". In the last 8 counts of the dance, Michelle stands there then falls to the ground. Amy and Amanda look at each other and quickly fall with Michelle to cover it up.
The curtain goes down and underneath all the dancers are running up to Michelle. They later learn she fainted due to exhaustion and dehydration. It is unknown whether she'll dance in the finals. She is taken to the hospital on a stretcher to get tests done.
