I finally got to the table and waited for Skye, River, Meg, and Neil. This was our table from last year, but I don't know if Meg will be sitting here anymore. I bet she hates me, why wouldn't she? I hate myself for doing whatever I did to make her dump me. I pulled out my phone while I waited. I must have been on it for a while, I didn't even notice the person sitting right next to me. I looked up and frowned slightly by who was there.
"U-Um." I stuttered like an idiot, starting to panic.
"Hey Joshie."
"Hey Meg."
Speak of the devil..."How are you? I haven't talked to you since last year!" She gave that gentil smile she always gave when she was going to talk about something serious.
"Maybe it's because you broke up with me?" I looked away and frowned at the thought. I've felt really lonely since and I don't want any strings to get attached again.
"Hahaha.... about that" Meg took her white hoodie off and put it on the table neatly, grabbing my attention. She looked at me and I could see that she was upset.
"Listen, Joshie, I understand that you're upset about it. I never meant to hurt you, and honestly, I didn't even know what I was doing." She chuckled a bit with a pained smile, but never took her hazel eyes away from mine.
I just sat there, staring at her face. I don't understand why I am upset about this. She said she was sorry, and I know she means it.
"What are you trying to get at, Meg." I said, heartless.
She cocked an eyebrow and a smirk ran over her lips. "I want you to figure that out."
"What?" I tilted my head.
"Oh come on Joshie, I've given plenty of hints. Didn't you see me staring at you in any of our classes?"
I looked away from her as I felt my whole body get hot. Dammit Meg. I know perfectly what she's implying.
"I wanna get back together Jo." She was serious now, her playful smirk was gone and she now had a slight, sweet smile.
"What..?" I turned my head back to her. "What? You can't be serious Meg."
"I'm serious! I feel so bad for leaving you without telling you why and now I want you back. You were mine Josh, and I need you."
Oh yeah, she's really serious if she just played the 'Josh' card on me."I don't even know what to say, Meg."
"Please Josh? Just one date, at my place, and you can choose if you wanna come back."
I smirked, "You're going as far as begging now Meg?!"
"Hell yes! I want my girl back!" She smiled and stood up from the bench, "You meet me at the back of the school and we'll go to my house afterwards! Ok?"
"That's too soon!" I chuckled and looked at her, feeling how bad I was blushing.
"Never too soon to cuddle and tussle." Meg winked then ran out of the cafeteria.
Oh jesus.
I covered my face with my hands and practically felt my entire body burst into flames. Not only was her little remark embarassing, but it was cute. That girl really wants to confuse my heart doesn't she?
