We pull in at a Cici's pizza. Before I get out I get my wallet and phone. I get out and see that he's also out .He's barely taller than me he's only like 5'7/5'8 and i'm 5'3

I'm walking close behind my madrina to the line with my hands in my back jean pockets I see him lean against a wall and look at me... The thought that under that chiseled skin is a big flop and only me seeming to know ,made me furrow my eyebrows.

We arrived at the 4 person table I sat down in the inside I was assuming that my madrina was going to sit with me but Noooooo he had to sit beside me. So much for avoiding him *sigh*

I grab my cup , head on to fill up my cup . I feel somebody tap my shoulder, it was Jesus with my phone in his hand , I raised an eyebrow in question

"Uh your phone was ringing , it might be important" He said while putting his hand on the back of his neck at the same time he put it on the Metal thing from the soda dispenser and left quickly

I of course just stood there, shrugged it off checked who had "called me" it was Yamila, I called back

Daniela my mom's about to give birth!!-y

I hear her mom screaming and saying HURRY in the background

Ahhhh o my lord -d

So the party is canceled, can you tell the people -y

OK then , be careful -d

OK, OK bye-y

I head on back and as sooquickly sit back down my phone starts ringing again but it's my mom this time so I answer quickly

Did she call you?-m

Yamila-d

Yeah,did she-m

Yeah she did, she told me her mom was about to give birth-d

OK I'm on my way to the hospital with your sister , hand your to your madrina-m

I hand it to her , I can only make out some words : "stay later" "no party" they end their conversation and she hands me the phone. I feel uncomfortable because everyone was looking at me for a sec.

Jay's POV

"We need to go get a baby gift real quick for Karen(Yamila's Mom), y'all two just stay here in the car "

She says "OK" her politeness makes me cringe.
I see my uncles go into a store in the plaza. For a
while we sit there in silence. Then all of a sudden we see a lady singing (more like screeching😂) with her ear buds, so yeah It didn't sound so good. I see her look out the window and we just both burst out laughing. This 'Daniela' does look fun but she's also a rat, I should know.

For a while we both laughed at nothing in particular , we probably looked crazy, I could tell we did from my uncles facial expressions
