Meant To Be

Chapter 3

The sun starts to set as they pull up to their destination. Jessie looks up to see a little picnic set up in the grass with candles lit all around.

Jessie looks at Bryton and says, "You did this for me?"

"Yes, because you deserve it.", says Bryton.

"It's beautiful.", Jessie says.

"Just like you.", Bryton smiled and said.

Jessie turns away smiling and blushing. They get out of the car and walk over to the picnic. They sit down and begin to talk.

"So, I saw your dad but where's your mom?", Bryton asked Jessie.

"Oh...uhm...she uhh...passed away.", Jessie says as she begins to cry.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry.", Bryton says as he grabs Jessie and wraps her in a hug.

Jessie says, "It's okay. You didn't know."

Bryton wipes Jessie's tears away. He looks down and her bracelets and sees her Sleeping with Sirens one.

"Woah!!! You like Sleeping with Sirens too?? I love them!!", Bryton says.

Jessie looks up at Bryton and says, "Really?!?"

"Uh yeah!!!", he says. "Can I see the bracelet for a sec?", he asked.

"No!", Jessie screamed as she pulled her arms away and held the bracelet to her wrist.

"Come on? I'll be quick and I won't break it silly.", he says.

"I said no!", Jessie says running away crying.

Bryton chases after her.

"Wait up please!!", Bryton yells

Jessie picks up speed and runs faster. She finally runs out of energy and stops. Bryton walks over to her.

"What was that about?", he asked.

"Can you keep a secret?", she asked.

"Of course I can! You can trust me with anything.", Bryton says.

Jessie turns with her back to Bryton and slowly removes each bracelet. She turns around nervous. She extends her arms and he can see all her scars.
