Kat's pov

I woke with the sun coming on my face through the curtain less window. As I opened my eyes I was blinded by the light. After a couple seconds my eyes rejusted to the light.

I got out of bed and stretched my arms out. I walked to my bathroom. I took a quick shower to wake me up. I wrapped a towel around my body.

I dried myself then went to my room to wear some shorts and a tshirt. I grabbed my toothbrush and comb and entered my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and combed my long light brown hair.

After finishing I walked down the stairs. When I entered the kitchen, I saw my mom making breakfast. I sat at the island.

" Morning mom" I greeted.

"Good morning sweetie, did you sleep good last night," she asked without looking away from the food.

" Yeah surprising my bed was so comfy and warm," I explained .

"That good sweetie, I need you so you can help me decorate the house. The moving truck will be here at 2:00 so we can eat and put away our clothes,"she said.

"Ok, what are you making," I asked.

" Pancakes, your favorite," she replied.

" Cool."

" Sweetie, can you get the silverware, fruits and, other toppings you want."

" Ok," I grabbed a banana, strawberries, and blueberries. I started to cut them into small pieces. I put two plates on the island with forks and knives. I put the fruits in there own bowl. I grabbed syrup and whipcream. I put everything on the island and sat across from mom.

"Done"

"Thanks sweetie" she says while putting the pancakes on a plate and placing it in the middle of the island.

"Dig in" she says

I grab four pancakes and put little syrup then put banana, strawberries, and blueberry pieces. Then top it off with a big pyramid of whip cream.

I dig my fork into my pancakes then shove the pancakes with topping falling everywhere into my mouth.

"Dear why do you eat like that be more ladylike." mom complains

" Mmm we've haf this convecation sooo mani tome before u can't change me." I tell her with a full mouth making the food in my mouth spit out.

" At least eat with your mouth closed you make me want to hurl," she complains.

I swallow my food. " Happy now."

"yes"

I roll my eyes. And finish my breakfast. I put my plate in the sink and start to wash it. When moms done she puts her plate in the sink. I wash her plate while she cleans the island.

After cleaning the kitchen a little we go upstairs to her room to put her things away.
