“Baby what is this?” she asked staring at the decorated plain. The once vacant spot on Dustin’s property was now covered in chairs and decorated with white lace and yellow sunflowers. An arch made of wood stood tall in front of the chairs wrapped with twinkle lights. If you asked her it looked like a wedding venue. But how could it be when she was with the man afraid of commitment?
“Well since I know you would have kicked my ass and called me a caveman if I swept you off to Vegas, I figured I'd do something a little different.” he whispered wrapping his arms around her as he kissed her temple. “Sienna Rose Winters we have been together, again, for a short time, and I know it's soon but you've had my heart since the day I met you. I wanted and made you mine in high school which was already too long of a wait. Every time I've waited, I've lost you and I don't want to lose you again. Let me rephrase that. I can't and won't lose you again. So please baby, will you do me the honors of becoming my wife, right here, right now?”
“Are you serious?” She asked as her eyes began to pool. He nodded a nervous look across his face as he bit his lip ever so slightly. Her hand flew to her mouth to cover the gasp as she nodded over and over, tears beginning to fall as she stared at the one man she knew would always hold her dear, who'd always love her and treat her like she was meant to be treated. A smile broke out across his face as he turned her in his arms. She couldn’t help as herself as she kissed him hard, her hands going to the back of his head as his held her in place as an applause broke out. She pulled away for a second looking around at the audience that grew. Rhett, Luke, Jason, Justin, Dustin, her parents and his along with their brothers. Everyone was here.
“Go get ready baby. I'll meet you at the altar.” he kissed her softly again as he ushered her towards the waiting group of girls, “I'm done waiting to make you Mrs. Brantley Gilbert.”
“See you there Mr. Gilbert.” she smiled wide as she turned away from him. Her heart was racing, as she swallowed hard, sudden nerves taking over. Caroline grabbed her hand as she lead her to the white tent with a sign she could now ‘Bride’. The entire tent was set up just for her. Chocolate covered strawberries in one corner with her drink of choice Jack Daniels . A vanity with lights all around it a tons of makeup and hair supplies. Garment bags hung around the room showing her how well this was all planned.
“Are you ready to see your dress?” Caroline jumped up and down slightly as she clapped her hands in excitement. She nodded, speechless as the day had progressed. She had never dreamed he would do something like this. Plan an entire wedding with her not knowing anything about it. Lauren and Caroline both smiled as they began to unzip the white garment bag. Sienna couldn't help but let her mouth drop open as she stared at the dress of her dreams. The A cut frame was emelbished with a sweetheart neckline. Flowers embroidered on lace covered from her thighs up before spreading out as they trailed to the ground on the white sheer fabric. The back was just the way she had always dreamed, sheer fabric with lace flowers that didn’t quite reach the middle and white buttons up the back giving the dress the perfect vintage feel. She raced to the makeshift changing room and quickly changed into the white robe they gave her and the white thong she was sure was from a certain man.
“How did he do this?” she asked walking out and staring at the women in her wedding tent.
“Well he called us, and we started putting everything together but we couldn't have done it without the help of two men surprisingly.. your brother and Dustin.” She couldn't help but shake her head. There was only two people who knew her nearly as much as Brantley did and they had helped him plan her wedding. She wiped her eyes quickly again before hugging each of the girls and whispering thank you.
“Your brother pulled out your big book of wedding ideas. You know the one I’m talking about.” Her mother said, nodding as she smiled wide. The one she started making after Brantley had swore up and down he was going to marry her and here they were. It might have taken a long time, but it was happening now and there was nothing more perfect.
