update: kim yerim has finally woken up from her one-week long coma.

news came as a shock on the evening of march 14, when kim yerim was reported to be involved in a serious car accident, which has landed her in the surgery room for more than six hours due to the immense internal bleeding from the puncture of a metal piece. she was then placed in the 'critical zone' after the surgery, due to the high possibility of another hemorrhage.
placed in the iu unit, yerim was in coma — unconscious and unresponsive, for at least a week and reports came in this morning that she has finally woken up from her coma.
her family, best friends and boyfriend have been staying by her side most of the time when she's in coma, and when yerim finally regained consciousness this morning, all of them are relieved. doctors have also reported that despite gaining consciousness, they still have to place her in the iu unit for safety purposes, and will only move her to the normal ward when her condition is confirmed to be stabilized.
sm's representative has also spoken up, stating how "relieved they are to hear that [yerim] has woken up, and thank the public and fans for being considerate and thoughtful of their idols, who have been on a mini hiatus". indeed, her best friends, who are all under sm — joohyun and seulgi, seungwan and sooyoung have went on a short hiatus; with the duo pair pushing their comeback date later, seungwan postponing her mini fan concert and sooyoung rejecting any acting offers currently, so that they can be there for their youngest friend. in addition, yerim's boyfriend, taeyong, had also slowed down his promotions for nct 2018's comeback, taking part in certain shows but not all. sm's representative has mentioned that the lad's main aim during this period of time is to focus his entire attention on yerim, and ensure that she's on a good recovery road.
apart from the good news of yerim waking up from her coma, which have bring relief to her loved ones and fans too, there are also bad news, where yg's trainee, lalisa manoban is under arrest not only for her reckless driving, but attempted murder too. jyp's boy group, got7's thai member, bambam, has recently came forward to make a police report against his long-time friend, lalisa, exposing her true intentions.
lalisa manoban has planned the car accident and for one reason, which is to prevent yerim for dating her ex, who is also yerim's ex. confusing indeed, but after much understanding, jeon jeongguk, the youngest member of the recently debuted group, bts, was the ex of yerim, who then dated lalisa, but ended things recently. jealousy is indeed a terrifying tool, when it eats into lalisa, driving her to commit such a crime.
"obsessive is what i can say," bambam states briefly, expressing his regret and apologies towards yerim and her loved ones. as of now, lalisa is arrested and will be facing certain charges after much discussion.
